Issue with Steam linked accounts

There seems to be an issue this morning with Captains who launch the game via Steam and linked their accounts - the game crashes when they attempt to log out. We're working on a fix, but you can launch the game via the exe file in your steamapps/common/startrekonline folder.

When's the issue going to be fixed?

dont you just adore the professional follow ups?

i mean, i can only guess that the issues was resolved, but this is now several times they have posted known issues, and not bothered to follow up if it was fixed.

      It's still not fixed yet
I have to use both launchers, Steam to make my purchases and the Arc launcher to play the game

Was this the cause of several "timed outs" when I was switching characters perhaps?

I cannot launch STO, for 2 days now, I just get crash reports. What is the problem?

Run it through Arc, that seems to be more reliable

Good suggestion, I've only had one hiccup since doing that the last few days. I wasn't running it through steam but the original launcher which had been reliable till this last patch.

Not sure whom to thank so just wanted to set it afloat & put it out there but "thanks". At least my issue, it would seem, has been corrected using the original STO launcher. Tried logging-in using it & went through all my characters with no issue at all earlier today (even before this patch).
