So I have been playing on STO on PC for about 2 years on/off and today I decided to get it for Xbox One. I have spent money on the PC but have decided to do Xbox completly free. I am still a noob at theis game regardless which platform i am playing on so any helpful tips or trick would be appreciated.

Remember that you can buy a lot of things from the Exchange for credits including lock box weapons, lock box keys.

It's still easy to exchange refined dil for zen since it isn't pegged at 500 yet

You're just in time for the 5-event campaign for 2022 to get a free promo pack ship

Don't move bridge officers to the candidate roster if you want to send them to another captain using mail. Once they are in your roster you can only move them by setting a ridiculous price on the exchange then having the other character buy them

Set up triggers on the radial menu for powers like heals and buffs since you don't have a powers tray to mouse and keyboard click

Welcome to the worst port ever. You will notice a lot of differences and missing capabilities in the xbox version. I am not trying to turn you away, only to give you reasonable expectations.

Apparently it runs better on the X Series X, but on the older Xbox One lack of RAM and a slow disk does make it more clunky than the Windows version. The tailor is especially painful. It is nice to play on my 55" OLED though.

Yea I noticed the loading was long and drawn out. I’m not giving up on PC just wanted to give playing as a 100% free player. I have no delusions about it being better on console but sometimes it is nice to sit on the couch and play on a big screen

I've not noticed the loading being too bad for the most part, but it's nowhere near worst port ever standards.

That would be Xcom 2 WotC.

It runs fine on my XB1S and XB1X. It's not lack of RAM that's the issue (S has 8GB and X has 12GB; the game doesn't get anywhere near 4GB), it's just loading from a Hard Drive nowadays. The REAL issue is the lack of Graphics options so I can switch on anti-aliasing etc.

The ONLY real difference is the UI and the conditional triggers. I've been playing XB for 4 or 5 years now, on top of 11 years on PC, believe me, the console version is waaaaaaaaay better if you want to enjoy the view, as the triggers make it a lazier play style. PC is good for more control. Otherwise, just play as you would normally have.

"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I would agree if the auto trigger system wasn't full of glitches and all triggerable abilities had at least one auto trigger option.

I have noticed lately that most, if not all, of the new abilities added to the game have no trigger option. This includes the new borg console.
