breen cryo ground set unable to be upgraded after update

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
prior to update, armor and kit frame bought from winter vendor was able to be upgraded. after update when you purchase any of the pieces they have an infinity symbol and the pieces no longer allow you to upgrade them . i have tried several characters, rebooting, re verifying files. nothing changes with the items to allow them to be upgraded.

    Hello, I am having the same issue but it turns out it is all scalable items.

    Currently you cannot upgrade any scalable items that did not get right click -> upgrade menu'd before the update.
    As you can see here I cannot upgrade either of these sets.

    And before the new patch went out I was able to upgrade freely as seen here:

    Also, I think the "scaling" part of scaling gear is broken. The stats are simply not going up, they're remaining the lowest values at Tier 2.

    so prior to the update when you purchased the cryo gear from the winter vendor it would become mk XII very rare in your inventory and allow you to upgrade. like the picture i am posting. now after the upgrade items purchased go to your inventory with an infinity sign and do not allow upgrade

    are you able to unequip it and then upgrade?
    Good one - there's a fair few items that only show the 'Upgrade' and 'Re-Engineer' menu items when they're in the Inventory.

    1. equipped set (no change to infinity symbol and unable to upgrade)
    2. moved to bank and then moved back to inventory. (no change to infinity symbol and unable to upgrade)
    3. restarted game. then tried to verify files. (no change to infinity symbol and unable to upgrade)
    4. tried on 2 other characters on my account. same thing
    5. the only characters that have the option to upgrade are the ones I bought from the winter vendor prior to season 12 patch
