    Newer windows versions are rarely a problem (though it does happen sometimes). It is the older ones (like Win7) that have been discontinued that tend to have problems after a while because Microsoft makes sure to break DirectX for discontinued ones to force people to buy their newer OS, along with other nasty things like make it hard to compile programs that work well on both the current and discontinued versions of Windows that someone pointed out in another thread.

    Obviously he means the Windows 11 beta, since he certainly wasn't using Windows 11 during STO's beta over a decade ago. :lol:

    I've upgraded my system to WIN 11 last weekend and the game is running without any problems.
