Hello,
I'd like to first apologize if any of this was asked beforehand. I feel quite lost currently.
I came back recently and I found out that on some characters my outfits are pretty borked and on some they are totally fine. Like on one character I can put Reputation gear on whatever BOFF, on another char I can't even select it, instead showing "Klingon Coat" and "M.A.C.O." even though I don't even own MACO set on that char. I was just wondering if that's like some super common thing related like to clearing cache in some way?
Also on two of my chars my DOFF's are not suggested automatically. I swear I somehow "fixed" that on my other chars, but now it's happening on another char and I don't have anything about it in any notes
so I don't know if I can just use a /command to fix it or smth.
Also please, is there a way to assign admiralty ships automatically? Like it's supposed to be happening with DOFF's or autofill with Rep?
Then on some of my chars my BOFF's just will NOT work. Abilities won't even load, just empty, black slots. They don't even show in Stations. Some BOFF's are fine, some are just, idk, brain damaged xD... Joking aside though, yeah. I've tried changing their skills in Skills tab, switching to different maps, logging in and out, turning the game off and on. Nada, they just refuse to work!
Last thing is just visual, but kinda silly. I fly the Science Spearhead and sometimes during transwarp instead of just the saucer section doing the animation, the whole ship goes YEEEEET?!?! Can I adjust some graphics to make sure that doesn't happen? Or is that totally random? Surprise mechanic to make sure I'm still awake? xD Seriously tho, if I can tune something down or turn something off so I can assure my ship stops yeeting itself, I totally would! But idk what...

Any help with any of these greatly much appreciated! Like a lot! Really.

I recall reading on one of those livestream notes threads on Reddit that Cryptic has said it's purposefully designed to not do so because any sort of auto-fill algorithm they could design would just slap in whatever ships have the highest stats, which is rarely the actual right ships to use for a mission since it doesn't take into account things like special powers or w/e.
You're in Sector Space.
Best I can figure is that ships in sector space might be scaled down or something, thus throwing off the model for certain animations like the Spore Jump. To me it looks like the model is attached to the bottom end of a tube in sector space. Normally that tube is inside the ship in a system, so when it spins the ship spins properly. But in Sector Space the ship might be scaled down, but the tube is not. Thus... YEET! Works perfectly fine in a system.
At least that is how it appears to me. One of my characters mains the Crossfield so I am quite familiar with this little quirk.
Oooh. So it's a common thing! Well, at least that's good to know. Kinda shame enough time wasn't invested to make a workaround, but then again from what I've read about bridges in the last hour or so here...
Losing my hope really fast, but at least I'm having fun playing through content I've missed. Thanks for the reply!
Yup. Resetting default skills seems to have fixed this for me.
