  Can you give more information? Where are you trying to change registry number? Because you can only do that while you're on the ground, just like renaming a ship. Cannot be done in space.

  I am at the ship selector person at Spacedock, and it will not let me change it. It will not even give me an option to change it.

  So I just checked on one of my characters, I am able to change the registry, until I give it the free upgrade. After I give it the free upgrade it removes the ability to change the registry for some reason.

  which version of the ship is this? I tried with my t6 fleet version and it works. I'll try the other versions of the ship.

  I did try it on another T-5 ship not MVA Escort, like the T-5 Defiant, and I could still change registry on it. This is only affecting the MVA Escort T-5.

  I confirm, the MVAM escort T-5 once you upgrade to T-5U it removes the ability to change the registration number.
  if you dismiss it and reclaim,you lose the upgrade, but you can change the registration.
