we all know - or most here do - that the past week + has brought about some rather unfun and downright not playable STO to the community.
i know of two peeps, personally that have one issue or another since the patch, what, a week or more ago, and another after todays patch.
now, im not going to go into details, nor will i post specs, but all are different in builds and if memory serves, all win10.
so, i asked keal in another thread for some details as to the issue, and was met with silence.
i think, we, as a community, have earned the decency of getting details from cryptic as to what is going on about this. mind you, while the traits issue was big, at least people could play, but this...whole new level and the silence from them speaks volumes.
im not saying they are not trying to fix it, or that they are ignoring it, but the lack of communication is really not working in their favor regarding this issue.
be nice to hear from @ambassadorkael#6946 or someone else at cryptic about this...aside from "we know about it and are working on it." but i am betting that would be all we would get.
not trying to flame them or anyone else, just trying to get details. is it an nvidia stand alone issue? is it across the gpu spectrum? is it a net framework? drivers? combo of one or more? what gives? why can some still play and others are left out and cant? code issue? seems the bloom issue in SoI and a few other places is not helping, nor the uptick in disconnects and map drops. and i said this in another thread, and while this is directed at cyrptic, and probably just the proverbial conspiracy theory, but since the addition of the new drop screen with the nvidia logo and others, all this started.
anyway, be nice to get some info, but doubtful.
