I had this happen just now where my team didn't make it out of the spawn room before other team had someone get to the end of first challenge instantly, then the second one pretty much fast as heck, then watched the thing go up to the 4th and boss as my team of randos proceeded to keep falling to their death (because they didn't pay attention to the floor/grid in front of them), in less time than would normally take to get through because of the exploit of whatever transporter module it is.
So how about you disable certain kit modules in ground mode?

I'm more amazed that 10 people queued up for that garbage.
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Playing versus another organized team can make for a lot of excitement and immersion. This one is a personal favorite.
Reading the first couple of posts here however, I see this as evidence once more that the Devs usually don't really think through the effect of certain powers.
That transporter can be used to get inside the walls of ESD (which will be shaking in its entirety whenever someone uses it), to break free of briefing freeze in other ground missions and to get on buildings on Defera, which was disabled years ago.
Agony field also is too powerful and all-dominating in small instances like Sompek. When the assimilation kit module creates a clone of the actual enemy - which will continue to exist when the bug shows up - it can prevent progress to the next round because the game will think there's still an enemy in the field.
Some space sci powers, which I suspect to be Delayed overload cascade or perhaps another AOE ability like the Somerville's trait, can completely block progress in Gravity Kills by destroying the Gravitic Anchors before they become exposed.
And now we can apparently add Binary Circuit to the growing list of older content that gets broken by relatively new powers which any player could have predicted would break such older content.
The development teams really should test these sort of things before releasing them. And that means testing them in all zones, in all content. If it's something innocent like a grenade or a simple heal, it won't be much of a problem.
Things like the ability to transport in a game that's filled with invisible walls to keep players from going where they shouldn't be able to go or an omni-directional shield ignoring heavy damage dealing field in a small room? You should expect trouble with such things and extensively test them as a Dev.
I understand they have manpower issues but that's not an excuse to release things that even most players would quickly recognise as problematic and potentially game breaking in at least some instances.
Let's hope they will find the time and resources - and will consider it a priority - to go over the list of powers and reconsider them for all zones and instances.
Use the "Adapt" kit module. It's the arch nemesis of most energy based kit modules.
The personal transporter module would be tempting to use in the plasma bolt phase of BC
But I respawn
I am duranium!
A bit like Dyson Battle zone where campers nuke a V-Rex within seconds and you end up with no reward as you couldn't get to the silo in the 3-5 secs it took that person to down the V-Rex.
I used it once to see if it did work, like I did with the faulty reactor pod in Firewall (it also works, but the recharge timer makes it so you really only use it once since by the time it's ready to be used again, you have accessed the second panel by waiting for the pauses, like normal).
And a second time because my team was stuck and all "safe alcoves" seemed to lead to nowhere. So I used it to see which was the correct path and I saw it was one where 2 energy balls were so close that when they went through each other, it was in front of the path to the next corridor and the timing was way too tight it was almost impossible without "cheating" so I'm not sure if it was a bug or just a sadistically-timed spawn.
That's an exaggeration.
Anyway, what is the point of continuously releasing new stuff if it breaks the content of your game? Fixing stuff and ensuring that it keeps working is just as, if not more important than releasing it.

"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
The skills are fine and should exist. Don't hurt players for doing well. The real problems are elsewhere.
Teleporting in this instance should be allowed, or some sort of walls put up so we can't go inward but can go outwards to fall. Then you remove jump strats all together. Not sure on the nuances if that is worth doing.
Like I said, allowing more pvp by putting the platforms closer together again would allow you to counter it by attacking them and possibly solve two things. You can't even shoot your guns at the other side anymore during the final boss fight... Let alone any of the PVP opportunities at the beginning and end of each area. Most of the competitive stuff has had the ability to fight the other side removed for some reason. I'll assume complaining.
