"Welcome" character name splash screen - any way to disable this?

Please someone tell me there is some way to get rid of this silly welcome back splash screen that shows up every time I load a characcter. It vanished for a while but came back some weeks ago and it's driving me nuts. There really needs to be a way to disable the thing.

    Yeah, it really is super annoying and unnecessary. It's a pointless feature that serves no worthwhile purpose. It's more a nuisance than anything else.
