I can't figure out how to get any more dps out of my Romulan captain....
I've slotted fleet advanced weapons and I will see some improvement when I level up his specializations. Is there anything I can be doing right now besides waiting to level that up and for tech upgrade modules to drop to milk weapons for dps?
He's a tac captain with an escort mostly cannons, 1 beam cannon and a torp but is sort of embarrassing to play at the moment.
any good advice appreciated!

Viola you're magically awesome now!
..I guess it's more complicated than that lol. Well here we go then:
lvl 65 RRF Tac officer
Personal Space Traits: Accurate, Cannon Training, Crippling Fire, Impact Defense Specialist, Innocuous, Last Ditch Effort, Nanite Repair Matrix, Projectile Training, Romulan Operative
Starship Traits: The Best Defense, Subsystem Redundencies, Improved Temporal Insight, and Improved Hunger's Instinct.(The only other Starship Trait I have but don't have room for on the ship is Fiery Enterence which isn't applicable for the current ship anyway)
The ship is a MatHa Raptor which recently replaced my t5-U D'deridex Battlecruiser because it's too slow and the MatHa appears to deliver more of a punch without even doing anything to my character. I feel it's gonna be the best ship for damage this character currently has. If you know how to make a t5-U D'deridex Battlecruiser have better damage please let me know. But being it's a cruiser... I'll miss my big warbird. But right now I'm just scared it isn't gonna be the right tool for the job considering my profession on this toon.
I recently replaced the forward weapons that came with the ship with weapons from the fleet starbase because their dps listed as higher. (and a loot drop until I have the fleet cred to buy more from the fleet)
The ships 5 forward weapon slots are filled with:
[Advanced Fleet Disruptor Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XII [CrtH] [Dmg]x3]
[Resonant Disruptor Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XII [CrtD] [CrtH]x2]
[Advanced Fleet Disruptor Dual Beam Bank Mk XII [CrtH] [Dmg]x3]
[Advanced Fleet Plasma Torpedo Launcher Mk XII [CrtH] [Dmg]x3]
[Advanced Fleet Disruptor Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XII [CrtH] [Dmg]x3]
Aft 2 slots:
[Disruptor Turret (Standard Issue) ∞]
[Photon Torpedo Launcher (Standard Issue) ∞]
Device Slots Contain:
[Delta Alliance Reinforcements Beacon]
[Temporal Negotiator]
This ship comes with and has equipped an [Experimental Hyperexcited Ion Stream Projector ∞]
My other consoles are mostly universal consoles:
[Console - Universal - Heavy Disruptor Spinal Cannons ∞](Came with the MatHa)
[Console - Universal - Opening Salvo][Console - Universal - Opening Salvo]
[Console - Universal - Priors World Elite Defense Satellite]
[Console - Universal - Voth Phase Decoy]
[Console - Universal - Tholian Webspinner Array]
[Console - Universal - Sabotage Probe Launcher]
[Console - Tactical - Directed Energy Distribution Manifold Mk XII](20% beam dmg)
[Console - Tactical - Pax Warhead Yield Chamber Mk XII](20% torpedo dmg & 9.4% hull capacity)
[Console - Tactical - Prefire Chamber Mk VIII](13.8% cannon dmg)
[Console - Tactical - Pax Warhead Yield Chamber Mk XII] (18.8% torpedo dmg & 8.8% Hull Capacity)
I think the only thing I haven't listed yet is shield impulse deflector impulse and warp core which is all the Revolutionary Set.
My original strategy was to be able to stay alive first and then start ramping my dps.
I think this toon is pretty squishy though no matter what so not sure what to do with it really.
The 'add image' button on the post editor here, doesn't seem to work(no surprise) so here's a link to my stats:

I would also suggest swapping out your Tac consoles with Disruptor specific damage consoles, preferably Vulnerability Locators from a fleet spire if possible. You'll get a bigger boost to your damage overall than you are from the cannon and beam types you got equipped now. Also look into various sets like the Nausicaan set. The science console from that set actually boosts disruptor damage, and if you wanted to have a disruptor based torpedo, there you go. However I'd recommend keeping a kinetic based up front and put the disruptor torpedo in the back if you wanted a rear torpedo. In case of Aceton Assimilators.
There are starship traits that could help, like Reciprocity off the Fed Phantom Intel Escort, but right now I'd say lets focus on things you don't need Zen for.
Might also consider the Terran Taskforce sets as well, as they're disruptor based. And if you have Tier 6 Romulan Rep, maybe look into that as well, as the alternate damage type that is unlocked for Romulan Rep is Disruptor, and I do believe they have a set of cannons available that do not use any weapons energy.
If you're wanting to synergize a disruptor build it will take time. But it will be worth it. And the reason for asking about your build is to see what you're working with already. General rule of thumb is to synergize things as much as possible. If you're wanting cannons, go all cannons. If you want beams, go all beams. Don't mix and match as you will probably have things that benefit one or the other, but not both. You have the cannon trait slotted so your dual beam is not benefiting from that. Torpedoes are fine however.
Advice for the D'Deridex... I'd say at least a 6 beam, 2 torp set up as... lets face it, the D'Deridex is a brick and handles like a brick. Best way to counter that would be to use weapons that have a wider firing arc so the turn rate doesn't get in the way as much. Also maybe a couple of the Fleet Neutroniums with [+Turn] modifiers.
For your Mat'Ha Raptor (or any escort) please try to work on these areas to increase the damage done by your ship by several times -
Also watch this video by Teacher Kirby on simple keybinds. Put all those tactical boff abilities from above into use as explained in the video using a single key press to activate each one in sequence. It's much easier than trying to focus on clicking on eight different things and might will be one of the most worthwhile things you ever try. It will make time for much more focus on piloting and beautiful Cryptic space maps.
Emergency power to weapons --> Cannon Scatter Volley --> Attack Pattern Beta --> Tactical team ... (and repeat)
Have fun, make stuff blow up faster.
