Bug Report: Promotion Ceremony's

lucasavislucasavis Member Posts: 6 Arc User
Hi, GM Etelia asked me to make a bug report so here goes:

Problem: Mission Pop-ups can and will cancel the Promotion Ceremony pop-ups meaning you do not get the Ship Token.

I handed in a mission and had J'mpok pop-up for the Promotion Ceremony mission for a few seconds before he got shunted off and replaced by the next mission in the Episode Arc I was in (Cardassian or Borg iirc). That meant I lost the promotion ceremony mission altogether - it was not in the Available tab or the Info tab, and hailing J'mpok also did not give it. None of the contacts I had available had it.
Loss of the Promotion Ceremony mission means you lose the Ship Token reward.

Specifically this was for the KDF Level 50 promotion.

Suggested Fix: make Promotion Ceremony pop-ups highest priority and not interruptible by any other pop-ups, and allow us to contact the NPC for it if need be.

At level 40, you get your last free ship and have to make do from there on with what you have, until you get the final Ship Token at level 61..
If, however, you have an active lifetime subscription, then you do actually get a token at level 50.
The Promotion missions at level 45, 50, 55 and 60 are basically just a "Hello, you've been promoted" message and you don't get anything else from them.

I was a lifetimer when they first announced the plan way back just after closed beta :)

I very much get tokens :)

The ships claimable with the LTS level 50 reward (and also the level 61 reward for everyone) are otherwise Zen ships. It is possible that you have purchased all of the ships it could apply to, in which case you would receive, but be unable to see or use, the token. (Because the fact that they are already Zen-unlocked would hide the token.)

Starfleet - Galaxy-class Exploration Cruiser Retrofit, Defiant-class Tactical Escort Retrofit, Intrepid-class Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit
Romulan - T'varo Light Warbird Retrofit, Dhelan Warbird Retrofit, Mogai Heavy Warbird Retrofit, D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit
Klingon - B'Rel Bird-of-Prey Retrofit, Kar'Fi Battle Carrier, Orion Marauder Flight Deck Carrier

Err i'm afraid not. The situation I listed is the reason why.

Right, but you don't get a physical token (as an inventory item) - it shows up in the shipyard interface. But if you have already zen-purchased all of the qualifying ships (for your faction - reward tokens don't honor the crossfaction), it would have nowhere to be displayed.

Yes I know that. After all these years I fully understand how the ship token system is supposed to work thanks :) One of my old toons even has a mission-reward Odyssey class in a box waiting for when I ever get around to leveling her up.

I have not Zen-Purchased all the qualifying ships for Klinks, heck not even for Starfleet. Hell, aside from my 2 ancient Klinks where we PvPed to advance in rank, I have only recently started playing Klinks at all.
