All Space FX invisible

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
since the new patch, 5/25/ all the pew pew, grav wells, and plasma torpedoes are invisible. It made for some challenging combat, let me just say.

I got blown up twice by enemy fire and I still don't know what hit me.

    As well as all space FX invisible I've got all ground effects invisible too - gunfire, plasma grenades.... even Reputation Flourish on Drozana just shows a few markers on the ground.

    I'm also not seeing the rifts in the new episodes, and no warp trail FX in sector space.

    UPDATE - Game restart , Force Verify and logging in with a different toon hasnt fixed this. My other toon is on New Romulus and has the same issue - no reputation flourish, no remodulate weapons fx, no bug spray fx.

    It seems the work around was posted on the STO Twitter account 2 hours ago.
    Not to the bug forums, not even to Reddit.

    Well, obviously they won't, as it's not a bug, it's a feature.

    It's new enhanced enhanced romulan battle cloak, it makes even your phasers invisible.

    Hopefully they address the FIXES soon, there's a few visual updates not allowing some to load STO, or others having issues even if they get into STO.

    Though on twitter they stated, "PC Captains: If you're experiencing an issue this morning where you can't see various FX like space weapons and glass in ESD, go to your graphics settings and turn on "Cinematic Focus," to see them for now. We're working on a fix."

    I can't see that stuff and I have Cinematic Focus on...
    Remember, getting mad at me and taking it out on your keyboard.... just means you need a new keyboard ;)
