I have a shuttle pet stuck in my over-flow bag and cannot open it at all to remove it, and thus can't access any stores.
1. Why are shuttle pets ALWAYS ending up in overflow when there's tons of inventory space?
2. Why have an overflow bag at all when it won't open 99% of the time without restarting the game?

Thanks for the tip!

I can guarantee that it works.. had the same problem about 4 times last month. It'll fix your overflow bag instantly after you've used that command.

BMR already closed another thread on this subject, stating this was a fix for an exploit. It will not be changed.
So, just make a note on how to open the overflow bag, when it gets stuck like that. Because not sure if is fixable. LOL!

In which case they need to fix the overflow bag so stuff doesn't automatically go into it when it shouldn't. And fix the issue where you can't empty it.
Like right now I have three prisoners stuck there on my KDF. There's plenty of space in the brig - only four in there right now - and yet I cannot get them out. No /lootcancel doesn't work, nothing will let me take those prisoners out, they've been stuck there for two days now.
@starswordc had that problem and posted it to the forum the other day. Maybe he can stop by and tell everyone how he cleared out those DOFFs. If it could not be done, that would be a bug.
Here is the thread, he said it was resolved: https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline#/discussion/1247147/inventory-replicator-locked-out-due-to-doffs-in-overflow-bag-resolved

Prisoners, Colonists, and Traders from Admiralty come in boxes that go to inventory and stack with each other. If the boxes get stuck in overflow bags, free up space in inventory to move them.
I leave one of each type of box in my inventory so they stack as I go along finishing assignments. They never end up in overflow because they have someplace to go.
If there are actual DOFF cards in the overflow bag, they came from opening boxes. Be careful that there is enough DOFF slots available when opening any type of DOFF boxes, including ones you pay for.

Yeah, I had a problem with colonists overflowing the bag and locking out the replicator and didn't know about that patch. I put some extra colonists on the Exchange to make room. Problem solved.
But this is different from the OP's issue: his overflow really did glitch out.

And let me repeat /lootcancel does not work.
I'm all behind removing this exploit from the game, it was being used far too much, but not fixing the overflow bag which have been bugged for years when they chose to do that feels bit like being flipped off as a player.
Had that happen to injuries a lot, cleared them, and they kept coming back...hence I went back to normal. Not a distraction I needed to deal with.
As for the overflow bag getting fixed, see it for what it is....what should be and what is. You can dream about it getting fixed, if you want. I would put my money on make it work for the time being because it is as it is.
