Set Bonus not working

spacefortressspacefortress Member Posts: 211 Arc User
I have submitted a ticket and received a response but I am also posting here for the developers to see.

Hello, I'm trying to use a 2-set bonus called "Overcloak" which Reduces the recharge time on Cloak by 20% using Enhanced Induction Coils console and Subspace Jumper console but when equipped it does not reduce the cooldown recharge time on Cloak which has a 15 second cooldown.

I tested this by taking the consoles out and the cooldown recharge time still stays at 15 seconds when I come out of cloak. I also tried the other "Overcloaked" set with Universal Cloaking Device, Quantum Warhead module and Phaser Quard Cannons. The cooldown did not change from 15 seconds.

This set bonus doesn't appear to be working at all and I'm sacrificing quite a number of console slots just for a set bonus that does not work.

From what I've been told by the GM, is that this appears to be a bug. https://postimg.cc/2bnP3Kww

As I recall, the standard cooldown on a Cloak is 20 seconds.
20% off means the cloak should then have a cooldown of 16 seconds.
This means that your 15 seconds is indeed bugged and needs fixed so that the cooldown is corrected to 16 seconds, yes?

I would also point out that the Subspace Jumper console has nothing to do with these sets. You need to use "Console - Universal - Enhanced Induction Coils" and "Console - Universal - Quantum Warhead Module".

Incorrect friend, the Subspace Jumper console has everything to do with these sets. There are two different sets that both have "Overcloak" bonus trait. See here: https://postimg.cc/K1BxP6KL

The standard recharge time of the battle cloak is indeed 20 seconds however, since I'm using two different bonus sets on the same ship, my cooldown recharge time should be 40%. So realistically, I should be getting a 12 second cooldown, not including boff traits, doff traits, starship traits that have cloak recharge times buffs as well.

The reason I'm getting a 15 second cooldown time before or after equiping the set bonus consoles onto my ship is because of the boff traits, doff traits and starship traits I am currently using. The set bonuses are simply not working because even taking them off, the recharge time is still 15 seconds, so it's having no impact. If this is a bug, then hopefully the devs can fix it. If it's the case that 15 seconds is the global cooldown limit, then that would also be good to know.

Inferiority is correct, Subspace Jumper is not part of a set, neither is Shield Destabilizer. The Kor Stealth Fighter Set is 2 pieces. This would appear to be a description error, hence why it's not working.

I do not have access to the Ch'Tang to verify what's going on there in your screenshot, but the Wiki has this information on both sets:
Stealth Fighter Set (Defiant) & Stealth Fighter Set (Kor)

Notice that there are set bonuses for 2 and 3 parts of the set, but not 4 - I believe somewhere, the Subspace Jumper has been flagged as a part of the set, but it doesn't actually contribute to the set in any way.

I'd suggest the reason you cannot use both console sets to go 40% cooldown is because both sets give the same skill, not two different skills, hence it is applied once.

I'm wondering if they changed the Kor set without telling us because I see the Enhanced Induction Coils is showing the same 4 piece set that his post of the Subspace Jumper is showing. This might make sense since according to a Reddit post, the Fed Quantum Warhead doesn't count towards the Kor set even though you can equip it.
