I have made 23rd century Klingon augments too and looked for the same thing.

The only Klingon vessels shown in TOS were the D7 (which is extremely hard and/or expensive to get except as a T2 or thereabouts) and a scoutship that was barely visible in the distance and with its shields lit up by a hit so no surface detail was visible at all.

The blurry image of the scout does not match up exactly with any of the STO KDF ships (FASA had it as the K-27 escort btw), but the silhouette looked enough like an STO Klingon raptor for it to pass for it if you assume it is shown at a really odd angle.

Raptors are easy to get, there are even a few in the c-store. Of the c-store ones the Ketha Recon Raptor looks the most right of the bunch if you look at it from the right angle (which would an upsidedown 3/4 angle view that puts one of the nacelles above the body and the other in line with it, like the rollover and burn before exploding thing in the game), and the fact that it is a recon destroyer makes it fitting for the role the scoutship was doing in the show.

Come to think of it the new recruit T6 BoP might fit the silhouette too, though not as well. It does not cost anything though so it is the best for a rock-bottom bargain interpretation of the scout.

The cheapest way to get a TOS Era Klingon Ship would be the Kor Bird of Prey with the B'Rel skin. It's a T6 ship so it scales, meaning it levels with you and it's a good ship for Recruits because the Battle Cloak will make those Ambush Kills a lot easier.

Outside of that, you would be looking for a D7 and as said above, that's going to cost you.. a lot.

True, if the OP wants a movie-era ship instead of a strictly TOS one. TOS era itself is usually considered to be TOS itself and sometimes TAS added in. TOS-crew movie stuff is its own era with completely different aesthetics.

If keeping to strictly onscreen, canon Klingon warships from TOS, that's only the D7.

For Tier 6 endgame quality, TOS canon Klingon ships, the only one is the Temporal D7. Last I saw from long ago, that was expensive because it's a Promo Pack release.

There is a K'T'Inga in Tier 5, along with a corresponding Fleet version. Understand that K'T'Inga is the TMP-era refit of the D7. According to that wiki, the TOS D7 skin is locked behind acquiring the Temporal D7.

If you are willing to get outside the strictly TOS onscreen stuff then some options open up, but they'll be expensive still.
Kelvin Timeline D7 - Infinity Prize Pack Ship.
D7 Miracle Worker Flight Deck Carrier - Promo Pack Ship - As shown in S2 Discovery.
D9 Dreadnought Battlecruiser - Infinity Prize Pack Ship. Not a TOS onscreen canon ship. Looks like an evolution of the Klingon Cruiser past the D7 but has the TOS era style of skin.

Cryptic has also been doing a bunch of Legendary Ships now. We just got Legendary versions of the Vor'Cha and B'Rel for the KDF. Some guys are thinking a Legendary D7 is down the line. Again, that's speculation.

So I think I will start to try the cheapes way, the Kor Bird of Pray, it should be fine for my first steps as Tos Klingon 👍🏻Thanx to you all for your help, it's a bit wired for a new Klingon Player to see all the possibilities 🙂

Just remember that it's available in one of the starter packs with some extras for less than the cost of the ship. (if you haven't bought it already)

I was able to use the TOS D7 skin on my T3 Koro't'inga...so maybe it's different or they changed it

Correct, the tier 3 K'Tinga, T5 refit, T5 Fleet can all use the D7 skin for free - https://sto.gamepedia.com/K't'inga_Battlecruiser_Retrofit and fleet - https://sto.gamepedia.com/Fleet_K't'inga_Battlecruiser_Retrofit

A fleet T5 with the T5U and -X experimental tokens would be a decent ship to fly though the tac seating is only Lt. + ensign.

If your love is an end game D7 and you don't want to bleed for it.. this is currently your best option. Get yourself a Fleet T5U-X and fly that through the next series of events. Then use the grand prize reward pack to get yourself a T6 D7 of your choice.

This is why many are frustrated by the new Legendary Pack. Those that love the D7 used to be in the same boat as Fed Players that loved the Constitution. End game versions were just non existent.. then along comes the 10 pack that give feds not one.. not two.. but three different T6 versions of the ship they have been waiting for. Klingon Players are sill waiting for just one single version of the D7 in a T6 account wide unlock. :disappointed:

Yes, the event will take nearly a year to complete (5 events) but as someone fortunate enough to own the Miracle Worker D7 I can tell you it's worth it. It's such a great ship, it's biggest drawbacks are price and single character unlock.

Yeah, the MW D7 is earmarked for my main at the end of the event.

There are rumours of a legendary D7/K'tinga pack in the same vein as the Romulan T'liss at some point

Maybe we should build a 23rd century themed KDF Fleet where everyone wears TOS/TAS Uniforms and drives TOS/TAS Ships, Ferasan members can pretend to be Kzinti from the TAS series.

Aren't there TOS style skins for BoPs and Raptors for NPCs? They could just make those available. Not canon, but it'd be nice.

^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^

There's not. There is a AoY D5 that's possibly supposed to be a '60s refit of the ENT D5 Battlecruiser (which is about the size of a BoP) that they should make available but I suspect they're waiting to release the D5 properly.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

WRT TAS - it too only ever showed the Klingon D-7 (and for Romulans as well - they never appeared in a classic Romulan BoP on TAS).

It's honestly probably inevitable at this point.

What with the Klingon recruit release, a follow-up rank 65 Klingon bundle is very likely. As well, many are expecting the D-7 will be getting the same treatment the Legendary Constitution did. At least, that's where the current evidence points.

I'm just irritated we can't even upgrade the T5 K'T'inga Class we already freely have access to into a T5-U, lol.

You can't? Huh. I admit I never tried. As soon as I got mine, I went for the T5 Fleet K'Tinga, and that IS upgradeable. I've been flying it ever since (with the D7 skin, and an all-TOS Klingon* crew). Weird that the base T5 model isn't.

*Well, alien-gen Klingons. At the time, real Klingons in STO didn't have access to humanoid heads.

I will look into this, but yes, the base model cannot be upgraded.

The confusion about the skins - there IS a skin that comes with the Temporal D7, and the picture I saw basically makes it look like a D7 with K't'inga-ish textures. It's apparently meant to resemble the model of the I.K.S. Gr'oth that appeared in the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribble-ations".

As much as I love the D7 design I think I've fallen more in love with the Kamarag design. It's not quite as boxy in the main hull, turns faster, and has better weapon mounts in the rear. It's not quite the hammer the legendary D7 is but does allow the player to drop a massive science power or two on a mob while you pick one apart with beam overloads or torp spreads.

Dern it if they didn't make my massively overpriced T-5UX Kamarag obsolete by creating a sledge-o-matic legendary Vor'cha with a universal (science officer) station for dropping yuge SCI powers on enemies.

...and it's pretty freekin beautiful to look at too.
