Ambush Kills For Klingon Recruit

How is the ambush kill thing supposed to work for Klingon recruits? I'm using a D7 Miracle Worker Carrier and I've both killed enemies within the short duration of the cloak bonus and killed them after it ended and I haven't gotten credit for a single ambush kill.

    Seems to be bugged for some players. I'm using the Mirror Galaxy-X, which is entirely how the Klingon recruitment event was meant to be played, which has a cloak console and I have killed at least tens of ships with the cloak ambush buff as well without any of them counting. A fleet member has reported the same issue.

    I am experiencing the same issue when I go to execute the Ambush Kill

    Same here it stopped at one yet I have ambushed many more and killed most within a second or two. Yet count is not going up. At least the melee one is working but it is hard getting those kills with all your party blasting them before you can slice them in two

    You need to be within 1KM of the target when its destroyed to get the Ambush Kill to count.

    Ive not seen it anywhere in the UI, Saw it in another Forum post and tried it and it worked.

    OK. I did a search for the word "Ambush" and nothing newer than the Tuesday patch came up. I saw a message on Twitter that a fix is in the pipeline for this.

    That has to be a bug. 1 km? Space combat is fast enough that you are very likely to overshoot the enemy if you are trying to hit it at a range of 1 km. My gut says it was supposed to be coded as 10 km so you couldn't run away and score a kill when your gravity well finished someone off, and then the coder dropped the 0 by mistake.

    It is a bug. I said they've already acknowledged it. The fix should have been in today's patch.
