Quirks/bugs with account wide ships from Mudd's bundles

So I bought the Time and the Dread bundles from Mudds, and got the Temp Science, Temp Dreadnought, and the Paradox unlocked account wide.
However, there are some things that don't work as expected.
Firstly, if you claim the Temp Science on Fed, you get the Verne. If you upgrade the Verne to T6-X, that upgrade does not apply to the ROM or KDF variants. And you can't claim the Verne on a Fed ROM. You essentially need THREE upgrade tokens for in practice one ship.

Secondly, atleast when on ROM, you only have access to certain materials on the Paradox, if you have the Temp ships in your shipyard. You loose the materials if you discharge your ships. That's not how things usually work for reclaimable ships n stuff. Usually materials are permanently unlocked :s

Would be nice if atleast the upgrade issue would be looked at.

This may have been unexpected to you, but is not unexpected at all. Different variants of the same ship-type, even within one faction, that give separate Admiralty cards, are always treated as separate ships (for upgrade purposes, etc)... such as fleet vs. non-fleet variants, T5 vs. T6, Legendary vs. non-Legendary, the Intel vs. Command versions of the Assault Cruiser, and so on. So it is not a surprise that the Fed, Rom, and KDF versions of the Temporal Science and Temporal Destroyer ships are also treated separately.

There's a difference tho. You're mentioning ships that are different tiers, or different seatings, or different sources. The difference between the Verne and the Sui'Mor is faction and look. They're identical. Same seats, same tier, same source. In regards to Adm cards, alts usually get cards if main claims the ship, yet Rom Fed didn't get Verne, she only has the Sui'Mor. Another sign they're the same ship.
I get having to upgrade the Science ship and Destroyer ship seperately. But to upgrade the SAME science ship thrice, because different faction/look, seems excessive. At least let my Rom Fed claim the Verne instead then. It's a Fed ship :s

I completely understand where you are coming from, and I agree with you that all 3 ships should be treated as one. However my guess is that this difference is quite intentional as it ensures that those wanting to upgrade will have to pay three times for the ability to do so. This means more money and as we all know this game is all about squeezing every penny they can from their players.
I really do enjoy the game and I don't mind paying for items (not keys though) but sometimes I get the feeling they have a separate division within the company whose sole purpose is to find ways to bleed players dry.
