Epic game store - starter bundle

interesting... 20% off till end of the year at Epic.

no fixed T6 ship, you get a T6 coupon to select the ship you want.
and you get an epic Phoenix token... single player ship but better than nothing
36 inventory slots and 36 bank slots

    That's actually a really good deal. The epic phoenix token of course can be turned into 2 UR which is now 4 ship upgrade tokens.

    My question is whether it locks you into the epic store/launcher or if it can be applied to any account using a code.

    This is what I want to know, and can you buy more than 1 :), I'd get 2 or 3 if I could.

    you need to get STO off the Epic Store and launch it from the Epic Launcher... at least once, cause it will prompt you to link your STO account to Epic.

    The game does not do a full DL... it's just a custom Epic STO launcher files/overlay files etc... it uses your regular STO game files/directory when you log in to play.

    Once you claim the pack you can go back to your regular launcher and do not need to use Epic.

    Besure you are on the right character you want to claim the extra inventory/bank/BO slots... that is bound to Character!!! Becareful.

    Rest of the items looks to be bound to account.

    1.I "downloaded" the game on EGS (@75Mb).
    2. Linked my ARC account with EGS using a code Cryptic sent to my email.
    3. Launched the game through EGS (no download necessary) and viola Epic Starter Pack located in the Starter Packs tab of the Zen Store.

    BTW I got a lot of extra perks too, like XP boots and specialization points and another first time buyers pack in my Promotions tab.

    edit: Launching the game the first time through EGS prompted me to Link my Arc account

    Has anyone who ALREADY had the elite started pack tried this? If so, do you still get the extra inventory and bank slots?

    Does anyone know how to get STO to launch through the epic store? Everytime I try it crashes and it won't count my accounts as linked until I successfully launch the game

    yes it works... coupon is valid till end of Oct.

    $18 after coupon

    you need to use the epic launcher... it installs and then you can play it after the update. no probs with using win10 with current updates
