the easier way to "fix" might be just have a one time option to repackage ship for those that bought it while the description is wrong but unlikely to happen. Cryptic is not the only studio reluctanct to compensate for errors on their part, its usually the norm. The thought process of developers is if they accept on one case they will be required(to compensate) in every case that happens
Well Cryptic, no one can say I didn't give you a chance to resolve this matter. I have now submitted a complaint to the ASA regarding false advertising. I still live in the hope that you will reach out apologise and resolve this matter.
So.. cryptic and Pwe have not apologised.. have not offered any kind of solution and yet without it being in the patch notes have changed the description for the ship.
so problem solved for all future buyers.
However this is very sneaky of you all.. correcting the description without making people aware you are doing it.
I do understand what your saying that every typo correction doesn't need to be in patch notes however i have seen them in patch notes before and since it was brought to their attention because i complained it would just seem like good business to me that if a customer points out a problem you would first apologize then say here we are fixing it.. not just quietly fix it.. not apologize and carry on as if it never happened.
Although I am happy with this i must say they should have done this with my original complaint through arc support. Not just because I went more public through BBB
I have provided proof to them via images of the misleading description of the console. However I am apparently not entitled to anything at all.
So even tho it's their mistake not mine I can kiss my money goodbye and have a ship and console which doesn't work with this build.
Personally I think this is an absolute disgrace and highly unprofessional.
Be lucky if I touch their games again now after this.
You're right: you're entitled to nothing. And threatening to go to Court only makes you laughable, in their eyes.
Thing just is, it's a damn disgrace Cryptic is acting so boorishly. They clearly made a mistake; and it used to be, that items bought with RL money (Zen-charge) would be refunded when not sold as advertised. Remember, though, Greed is the Law eternal...
Pretty dumb of them, too: way to lose a potential customer, Cryptic.

Cryptic ha e not responded despite Kael being flagged about the issue.
The ASA in UK cant get involved in US and so have directed me to Advertising Self-Regulation Council (ASRC), a division of the Better Business Bureau
Complaint filed.

I know English is not your first language, but the issue was resolved, and no one threatened a lawsuit...
Also no one lost a consumer. No one was boorish, rude, nor uncivil.
