Bug Report: Oberth Class Light Science Vessel is unpurchasable through Ship Vendor NPC.

I filled out a support ticket about this issue but was informed that since it was a bug, Support could not resolve my issue and suggested I post the issue here. Sorry if it is a known issue already.

The Bug:
The Oberth Class Light Science Vessel cannot be purchased through the Ship Vendor NPC at any spaceport. (This ship cannot be purchased any other way either as far as I know).

When you highlight the Light Science Vessel in the ship "store", it is listed as having a blank Zen price. The "-" character is displayed where a numerical price should be. The "Buy Ship" Button is grayed out, and when you hover your mouse over it, the tooltip simply displays "Loading..." forever. Despite this, should you click the "Buy Ship" button, a completely blank confirmation window appears, but there is nothing you can click on within this window.

    Just went to ESD and there it was for 5000 dil no probs at all so no bug. Looks like you may have corrupted files. Force verify. Also ensure on demand patching is turned off. If that does not resolve the issue, run a DNS flush. Try to buy ship again. Lastly the last resort is a fresh install.

    Is your inventory full, OP? Also, do you have enough ship slots? Finally, what faction is this character that you tried to purchase the Oberth on? Thanks. :)

    Thanks for the replies. My character is federation and my inventory is far from full. I do not know exactly how to force verify or ensure on demand patching is turned off, nor run a DNS flush. Can you put those in dummy terms? Are these somewhere in the In game settings or is it something specifically in the ARC launcher?

    If your game is showing Oberth listed at a Dilithium price then clearly something is seriously wrong with mine. It's listed with a price of "- Zen" for me.

    EDIT: I found the first 2 options you mentioned. Still don't know how to run a DNS flush. If this doesn't work I will reinstall.

    Sorry to double post but I completely reinstalled the game and now have the launcher set to "force verify".

    The problem is still there. Oberth is listed with a blank zen price instead of a dilithium price, and I cannot purchase it.

    Is there any way to get an Oberth besides the ship vendor? Some starter bundle maybe?

    This is becoming really frustrating because it's just a tier 1 ship I want to have simply because its canon but this has turned into a whole ordeal and left me wondering if I have any other problems specifically affecting me and no one else...

    To dns flush if using Windows 10 .....

    Select the “Start” button, then type “cmd“.
    Right-click “Command Prompt“, then choose “Run as Administrator“.
    Type ipconfig /flushdns then press “Enter“. ( be sure there is a space before the slash)

    Thanks for reply. I should have probably mentioned that I'm still on Windows 7. I will google DNS flush and see if the syntax is the same on windows 7 but I will try this. Since fresh install didn't work I will try anything at this point.

    EDIT: Okay I successfully flushed my DNS with command prompt, but the problem is still there with Oberth Class. I do appreciate trying to help me though. I will reopen the ticket with support and see what that gets me, as this seems like it is actually unique to my account and not affecting everybody else.

    In case others were curious, Support team got back to me saying that I am apparently not the only one experiencing this issue, and it has something to do with that update to make all the tier 1-4 ships cost Dilithium instead of ZEN. Seems plenty of the 1-4 ships still cost ZEN for me, but they can at least still be purchased. Only Light Science Vessel was totally bugged without a listed price.

    It is a known issue to the dev team and will be addressed in the future.
