Seriously, this has been going on all day. Dump the budget box pipe and get a real line into the server farm already. How is it every other company has solved this particular problem except ya'll?
Where the main server farm is located is also experiencing apocalyptic levels of fires, weather, and more... so high traffic for the Star Trek day stuff, combined with environmental factors, plus the addition of a far heavier load than average peak population, is just causing problems. It is what it is.
A friend of mine was finishing a mission that is difficult to do at the end and hopes she can finish it otherwise she is gonna say fk it and move on to the next cause the mission in question. This happened last week also FOLLOWING the maintenance. hrm, what are they doing over there thats causing the day of maintenance to malfunction rubber band etc for 3 days before it stabilizes.

Funny, other games have their farms in the same area and are functioning perfectly tonight with far heavier loads. Given they knew the event was coming, that this is a more active time, and that it is Star Trek Day, you'd think anyone with even a tiny bit of risk management would know that some plans are in order. Then again, we've never seen any evidence of that kind of thinking.
By the way, every other game I play that is based in any of the currently effected regions, are experience similar problems, and it is possible they were hit with a rolling black which is flooding that area right now.

No excuse. I work infrastructure for a data provider that has tens of millions of customers daily. If one user even complains of a bit a slowness all available assets and personal determine the cause and solve it in minutes.

Shocker, I just logged out of other games to come here and had zero problems. Perhaps you need to expand your horizons Karen. Some of us actually work in this field.
Can Confirm this as well. I can only access the character I was playing on last (my Romulan), it kicks me back to the log in screen if I try to select a different character, and I get booted out of my Romulan every couple minutes.

And their servers are on the East Coast of the US, so no Cali power fun.
We're not the ones that are trying to pretend that fire is magically slowing down packets, but only on cryptic games.
Blizzard games...running fine.
Steam games, no problems....
VPNing to our customers in California, NY, Tx....no problem
As of 17:49 CDT, I got to do my dailies. I got to look at the pretty ships. I got to do a Borg Red Alert. I activated a ship to play The Featured Event. I got booted after being placed in the Featured TFO. Upon trying to log back in, I got the Launcher Update message. Which promptly tried 5 times to connect and then told me there's something wrong at my end. As per usual.
I really, really, truly loathe and despise the Launcher Update Message. Every time it appears, Cryptic might as well be telling me, "We're gonna jack with you until you delete and reinstall Star Trek Online." Which I'm not going to do this time.
The server farms my system uses to connect to the Internet are either 85 or 80 miles away. The Ookla test dashboard is showing a ping rate of less than 75ms. My laptop was specced and purchased for the express purpose of playing this game. The software on my laptop has been optimized for the express purpose of playing this game. The headset and mouse I've purchased for the express purpose of playing this game are good enough to be used and endorsed by players on the pro circuit of League of Legends. My ISP is AT&T. Which I've had exactly ZERO problems with for any other internet connectivity or use.
There are easier ways for you people at Cryptic to tell me you don't want any more of my money than the male bovine solid biological byproduct which goes on every single time something gets added to this game.
Reach back and grasp your ears firmly, then pull. That loud popping noise is your head being forcibly removed from inside your fourth point of contact.

I am trying to do the event, and I keep on getting booted and booted and booted some more and it's just making me extremely angry. And this is me coming home hungry, beat and tired from work as I work in retail as one of the front of store as a cashier and having a never ending onslaught of customers telling me that I'm some rip off artist and that I should go and commit suicide and so on. I am livid and this same thing caused me to not be able to get it done last year or the year before that.
Hey, I found that not trying to get it done in Earth Sector but ESD instead is the charm. Earth Sector's connectivity is malfunctioning. Once I realized this, I went and took a chill pill and helped others in game so that they too could take a chill pill. Also directed KDF Players to DS9 too.
Is anyone on PC still getting the Server timed out and You were Disconnected? I hear it was and issue yesterday and I thought they said they got int fixed? But I have been booted out 20 times in a 15 minute window and when I log back in 2 minutes later I am disconnected again.
The truth is they have taken your time, raised your blood pressure and have taken (or will take) your money and don't really care about your petty gameplay issues unless it interferes with the money making machine. So quit playing or deal. Either way Resistance is indeed futile.

I'm aware of this, thank you. Venting here is a way of dealing with it.

Sorry, but Normal game play has been affected. I keep getting booted off in a matter seconds.
