Communicator in hand constantly

I have 6 total characters, 3 that I play regularly and 1 of those 3 is a Discovery character.
The Discovery character is female and is constantly holding a communicator in her left hand. Even while holding other objects, performing any emotes ie: dance moves, air guitar etc.
I did not notice this until the Risa event started, that's not to say that it wasn't already happening, I just noticed it for the first time while on Risa the day the event started.
I sent a bug report in game and received a reply from the GM suggesting that it is a bug and to report it here on the forums.
