Friends List Broken

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
Hi - Friends list is now broken after last patch. Some people whom are online and in game are not showing up. I have checked with other players and this seems to be an issue for them aswell.

    switch instances for now is a way to refresh friends list. It has worked for me.

    I have the same problem. Logging out and back in only fixes temporarily. I will try the changing instances suggestion.

    After a few days of this, here's what I've noticed. Usually, it's people not being on after showing they are. Sometimes it's not showing when they log out. Other times, it's just showing the @handle and not any other info.

    It's more common to bug out funny on heavily social maps - DS9, ESD, etc. Sector space, various systems, even mid TFOs aren't so bad. Either it's because of those "social zones" by nature, or possibly because I just tend to stay on the Social maps longer.

    When I want to pm my friends for content, it's a bit harder. If the person is also in my fleet, it's not so bad, because the fleet roster still works fine. Another alternative is to visit my Ship Bridge and check again.

    I had friends in my list, but they all disappeared when cross game chat was removed. They didn't play STO anymore but it was nice being able to chat with them regardless. Haven't opened the Friends window since, there's no point. But it's kind of sad to see that even friends in the same game can't see each other reliably anymore.

    If I didn't know better, I'd swear Cryptic are trying to drive people away. :p

    Same problem. Also affecting Champions Online.

    This has been broken for me now for at least a week. The only way to sometimes tell is to check my fleet roster, but it makes teaming, especially cross-faction, a royal pain in the rear when I can't see which of my friends are online.
