Ground Rally Point broken?

telkwa#5566 telkwa Member Posts: 14 Arc User
I've played for a couple weeks. Never used Rally Points before until now. I'm in the Mine Enemy mission. Trying to open the door where you have to step on two pressure plates. Presumably your Bridge Officer steps on one plate you step on the other and the way to accomplish this is by giving your BOff a rally point on the pressure plate. Clicking the Rally Point icon on the BOff's interface gives you a new mouse pointer. Left clicking on the ground anywhere to "place the rally point" does nothing. The BOff never moves no matter where you click the rally point mouse pointer.

Progression in the Episodes has come to a grinding halt because I can't get Rally to work to open a door. Can anyone help?

Have you clicked the rally point exactly in the center of the place where you want to get to for your BOFF to move to it? I am not sure it is a bug. While it can be very particular it has not failed me.

I posted a video trying to use Rally Point for my one Bridge Office. Either I'm missing a step or it doesn't work.

I've tried all 3, The arrow on the BOff's bar, the group one at the top and also a keybind for Set Rally Point. All 3 don't set anything.

I used left click. However I have some custom key binds, left click included. Custom key binds should be ignored when clicking a another function like setting a rally point that uses left click for it's own use. It should replace whatever key bind left click has and use it for the rally point but apparently it doesn't which means you can't assign left click to what you want. I reset all keybinds to default and rally point works with left click now.

Not sure if that helps? My understanding there is that it's not left click itself, but rather a reference to "ContextAction 1".

Yeah interesting. Certainly could be related although I don't use a keybind file just the UI options screen it could have done something unexpected with ContextAction 1. Thanks.
