Lockbox Ship Idea

Like many players I have lockbox ships on my main toon that I never play with and would really like to transfer them to alternate toons. I would like to see a lockbox Transition Key that would make the ships on an account lock rather than being character bound. That seems to generate more interest in spending money on the game trying to get the elusive T6 ship you desire. What works for a Tactical Captain may not work for Science or Engineering Captains. This way I can try the ship with three different captains and find the absolute best fit.

    Something like that would be nice yeah, I'd love to Transfer my Lockbox Ships from 1 alt to another when i finish using an alt & I'd pay for such transfers with zen/dil no problem.

    The Devs have said something about exploring possibilities of account unlocks for lockbox ships in the future.

    Gets brought up every couple of weeks.

    In fact, it has been brought up so many times it is a FTC

    They sadly don't seem to be moving in the direction of letting existing lockbox/lobi/Promo ships be moved or account unlocked, instead going for selling a C-Store unlock either as a bundle, expensive Mudd store ship, or a variant in a bundle. Why sell something once, when they could sell it twice?

    I think we already have a pretty good idea of what their plans are. Picard pack, legendary ship pack (not the same ships but very similar) and the Benthan Ship in Mudds market are very good signs for the future.

    for now guys I have to lock this since it's part of FCT. There's several ships I have that I would love to see made account bound from this as well. So for what it's worth, you have my support for this as well. They are still looking into it last I heard. While I'm not a fan of everything just going to Mudds Market, if done right it could be worthwhile. Having the ability to get corrosive plasma on demand is a pretty nifty thing, but I digress. I'm hoping we will know more in the future but we will see how this goes I suppose. /closed for now
