Three Week Bonus XP

I'm happy this'll be available for the Spring Winter Special.

While I'm making room for possible future character options, I won't be making new characters (no recruitment drives), I definitely could use it to help go through my T6s to get their Ship Traits.

Yeah it is disappointing that Cryptic has & is putting off another recruitment drive, but with these current times Cryptic gets a mulligan. Also, it was nice of Kael to ask: "is everyone holding up ok?" I only hope all of the Cryptic peeps are holding up ok too. EVERYONE try to be safe as possible. Yahoo on the 3 weeks of 2x exp!

Yeah, after this I could sure use a 2x or even 3x Endeavor XP three week Bonus Event. Anything to get it closer to the end already. :)

Anyone know if the xp event stacks with xp boosters? I got quite a few boosters from the first contact event.
Don't really want to waste them if they don't stack.

My understanding of boosters is that they just give you a bonus pool of xp to draw from until it is gone, not that they give a flat increase to the xp you gain. If so, I don't see any reason they would not "stack" with the xp event. You might just use up the pool faster.

They give you 20% of the XP garnered. So 20% of the doubled XP.

Come to think of it, the XP Boosts we can get from the First Contact Selection Box is the Large XP Boost from the C-Store that sell for 600 Zen. They probably realized that they may have really shot themselves in the foot with that giveaway. Best way to suck most of them out of the game quickly is have them burned up with the Double XP three week Event. Just some speculation.

Note that any Spec Point or 1/4 Spec Point items you may have will NOT be doubled if you use them during this Event.

I'm a returning player after a looooong hiatus so might as well be new again so I could be wrong, but this is my understanding of the pools too.

Say I have a XP bonus pool of 1000 that gives me 50% extra XP (up to the pool limit of 1000). So if I complete a task and get 100XP, with the pool I get 150XP and my pool "loses" 50XP (which is how the game UI shows it). So with the the double XP event, I now get 200XP for the same task, and my pool "loses" 100XP. So I still get the 1000XP out of the pool, I'll just consume the pool at a 200% rate with the double XP event.

Or I could be wrong. :D
