Should I come back, or am I too out of touch?

I haven't played in 5, 6 years. Last big thing happened to me was getting a Voth ship that looked like a adults-only item out of a lockbox hysterically on Christmas Eve. Some gift, doubled my credits overall. But...Am I just going to be overwhelmed picking up with my old characters, or what?

    Is it just more stories and ships, or has skills, combat, etc, been reworked? I can't lie, I wanna go back to my Tholian Recluse, my D'Kora, etc, etc.

    The game is easy, you'll be able to catch up in no time.

    I'll say the same thing I say every time someone asks this question.. the game is free to play, you lose nothing by trying it. Worst that can happen is you don't like it and you uninstall it.

    Just take a few hours to get back used to the game, but it's still easy.

    I would make a new character and go through the updated tutorial, as a refresher.

    (there's plenty of new starting options, after all)

    Yeah, checking out one of the new starting options would be a good idea. :)

    Back on topic:

    Create a new character and level them up. Federation TOS or Discovery, Romulan survivor, Jem'Hadar all have some new stories. The Federation and Klingon stories have been touched up with new voice acting and some streamlining.
