Is it possible to find the old episodes for Nimbus III and Drozana (Devidians) somewhere (except from receiving a replay from another player)?
In the new story arc Admiral Quinn suggests that the player can go to Nimbus III and Drozana for "trouble spots" and there are rewards to these missions that I still want for my new alt toon.
These episodes really need to still be a part of STO, even if they're not main story line. I understand that the story was excessively long before and took forever to get through but the old missions should still be available for those interested like side quests or something.
The Devidian FE Arc unlocks from Adm Quinn once you hit lvl 65. Along with the Breen FE and The 2800 FE Arcs.
Quinn with give you a mission for each arc to head to their respective starting points. Once there, that mission will auto-complete and the regular quest-giver will get you the first mission of the respected Arcs.

Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:

Scrap current Lock Box & Lobi system for something more reasonable
Expand Dil and Rep/Fleet Marks to regular story content

I wonder if they have gotten around to upping the rewards to endgame levels though, those rare quality Andorian phasers from Spectres just do not cut it for an endgame reward since there is no room for them to upgrade in quality much before hitting the tech-guzzling tier XV. They should make them very rare at least.
Ha, they've still got Space Equipment in the Lobi Store that is Rare Quality, even though they have moved to making all newer stuff VR. When they introduced the Upgrade System they went back and changed all Lobi Ground Weapons from Rare to VR.
The Landscape drops on Nimbus are usually like Mark IV or V.

Wastelands and Spectres are long episodes so I can sort of see why they would want to make them optional, but the skip system is working now (and has been for a while) so there seems to be no point in taking them out of the episode list and requiring level 65 to unlock it in the "available" tab (though Romulans seem to be able to get Wastelands at the normal level, at least one of the old triggers is apparently still in place for them).
While some people do play Wastelands to get the VR "Law" doff, I suspect far fewer play Spectres once they see the rewards are meant for mid-level characters instead of endgame which is a shame since it is one of the most intricate and interesting of the episodes, not to mention being one of the very few ways an AoY character can keep their ships in TOS style weapons (and the only free one for newer players who do not have endgame characters with the EC to buy DSC beam phasers from the exchange to send to their AoY one).
What really bums me is putting the Breen FE behind that lvl 65 lock.
I ran my, then recently rolled, TRIBBLE character through that arc when the character hit lvl 12. It was interesting running that arc that low and spending Phoenix upgrades on the gear. I really didn't think having a second Energy Siphon that early that big a deal.

I'm playing a Fed Caitian right now and he unlocked Wasteland at about lvl 30 or something.
I'm also bummed that they took out the entire B'Vat story line with the time traveling, the Paris kid (kuve-whatchyamacallit) - that story was really cool imo so if it's out there somewhere hidden with an npc somewhere please let me know!
They've changed the game so much over the last few years I barely even recognize it.

I don't remember any Andorian phasers from Spectres. There are TOS phasers but not Andorian ones.

The TOS blue phasers are sometimes called "Andorian phasers" for some reason (which is actually something of a misnomer since the same phasers fired blue, red, or green beams in the show itself, though the remastered stuff only shows blue). I would have just said "blue phasers" but in that particular sentence it would have been unclear whether I was referring to the beam color or the "rare" quality color.
Probably because the Andorian Phaser Ship Weapons are blue.

Those were supposedly taken out to be "remastered" I almost two years ago. So in theory, they might come back "soon".
For the record, I have always disagreed with making the Dominion/ Jem'Hadar mission set "The 2800" an extra mission set. With the addition of "Victory is life", The 2800 missions almost act as a prequel.

That mission arc was removed reportedly to be "remastered" almost two years ago, when Cryptic made the questionable (in my opinion) decision to hide the Jem'hadar mission arc (The 2800) behind the level 65 wall. With "Victory is Life", the 2800 arc acts as a prequel. Granted the mission, "Of Bajor" is a slog but the rest of the set was interesting. It also answers the question as to where the Dominion fleet from DS9 episodes "Favor the Bold" and "Sacrifice of Angels" went.

If not for the resurgence of new Star trek series; and Cryptic scrambling to add as much related content from said new series as quickly as possible to capitalize on the influx of new fans/players; they probably WOULD have remastered and updated a few of the original STO Journal missions and placed them back into the Journal itself - but I can guarantee that's out the window when it comes to resource allocation, and it makes sense.
IE - What will bring in new players? Remasters of older content Cryptic wasn't all that happy withe when they put it in (because of the short timetable they had from CBS/Paramount to bring the game to market in 2010); or brand new content based on the quite popular new Star Trek series - we have two launched with 5 more to come in the next two years- and with the opportunity to include VO from the current series cast?
It's pretty obvious and understandable why Cryptic is putting the STO Dev resources where they have been for the past 18 months.

I agree it makes sense to have resources allocated elsewhere at this time, but I do think they should reinstall the original episodes - even behind a level wall - so that players can enjoy the full story in the meantime. I don't like the fact that once they knew they couldn't get to the old episodes they just left them out entirely. It's like Picard's collapse after leaving Starfleet - he couldn't save everyone so he chose to save no one... Cryptic couldn't remaster the episodes at the time so they seemingly have ditched them entirely.
I remember they took out a number of episodes detailing Obisek's backstory too. The whole little spy conversation had so much more weight to it - I just did the Vault the other day and they've totally rewritten that conversation even with a new voice actor doing have the words - you literally are bouncing back and forth between two voices in the same conversation, it's weird.

Really? Must play it again - NOW!
But seriously, cool find.
I cannot take sole credit. Someone else found out that there is a new voice actor for this mission when they played this.
Can I give you credit for informing me?
Yes, you can and only that.
