Can we update ALL the visuals next time?

Heres a few of the various vanities, Fek'lhri, section 31, delta alliance, temporal initiative, Tzenkethi, and iconian resistance. I'll share links for the other vanites aswell if I have to, but itd be real friggin great if cryptic could fix this visuals issue. Every single vanity gets washed out by the engine glow or the red and yellow hull just bleeds through it, making just about all the vanites unusable.

    Have you tried this on other ships besides the Na'kuhl?

    Yup. They look fine on every other ship. Klingon, fed, rom, dominion. The Na'kuhl ships are the only ships they do this on that I'm aware of. Now there are several ships from different species i do not have. But as far as I've and can tell it's just the Na'kuhl ships

    Hmm. I dont have any vorgon ships so I didnt know that. If your able to upload a picture of it here that would be great.

    And if anyone else has a good example, feel free to drop that here aswell.

    A Vanity shield, near as I can tell, is actually not just a texture swap, but a whole new overlay. Result? When doing a sloppy job of it, certain parts of your original hull will protrude thru your Vanity shield. Dyson shield is notorious for that. Will they fix it? Wish they would, but they won't.

    The problem is not the vanity, it's the hull texture. Hul textures are supposed to have some markups to indicate what is what, in an standard arrangement in the texture mat applied to the ship, but it seems that the Acheros does not follow that, and that's why no vanity shield works well on that ship. (at least, i think that's why)

    Did you post this to the bugs subforum? It's not going to be at the top of their list, but it might get assigned to an artist / modeler someday.
