I have a problem at random a weapon when i change them will get a timer on the primary fire locking it for up to 31 min at a time. once this lock happens if i swap to a different weapon it as well gets the lock timer.
And as a real odd thing i cant figure is that the timers are not counting down unless you have the weapon equip.
I have removed the weapon before and left it in my inventory log out for the night and then log back in the next day put the weapon back on and its the same timer still on the weapon.
2nd and 3rd fire are not effected with this timer. and the weapons are random for all i can tell. I have changed in and out several different weapons till i find one that is not timer locked but when i put the effected weapons back on the timers are still there. and each weapon countdown is its own timer not some global all weapon countdown.
i had a lot of the weapons with these lock out timers on them always the primary fire and i had to leave each one on my toon and let the timers run down on each of them.
The timers are also random some times its 31 some time its 20 some 8 some 25. I cant locate a pattern to it i just put on 2 different weapons one the lobi cannon, the other throwing knifes. the boolean had 8 min the knifes 20.
Is any one else having this issue and or any one know what may be the cause of it?

Have you figured out which weapon starts the locked behavior of the timer?

No i never managed to locate a trigger i could replicate the issue at will. it would happen on different toons different weapons and at random. It has cleared up from this posting on weapons but the same cooldown issue happens on changing kit modules but those only last a few min at least never been more than 5 on the devices and modules.
I noticed this behavior while playing the Omega mini game this month. Every once in awhile the game would lag and the timer would change from seconds to several hours. It did not happen every time, it was very random. Sometimes the mini game would just end abruptly. Of course, the fix just closed the Omega game window and start over in a new window.
Not sure what to do to clear the timer on weapons firing, though. Or if it is a similar problem, even.
It is a very odd way for the timers to react to a data hiccup from the servers.

Something is really wrong at the sto servers, i never have lag in any game whatsoever and also have a 1000/1000 mbit connection
Also when coming back after 2 years not playing STO, spending $30 and getting hit immediately with a 7 day account probation.
This shows very little respect from cryptic towards their playerbase and, this is another reason to not spend any single cent on this game.
