STO Crash when joining teams

in Xbox One Gameplay Bug Reports
everytime I join a team (pve, pvp, private arena, etc) sto completely crashes and sends me back to home screen.

    I guessing you are on the Xbox right, as that was happening to e as well. Turns out the issue is having two or more people logged onto the xbox console at the same time. Sign out any other people on the console then you should be able to join others

    Everytime I launch the breach the game crashes

    This happened to me twice in the past several days since the new “Into the Breach” event started. The first time crashed the whole game after I was about 10 seconds into the op. Fortunately, upon restarting, it automatically sent me into the TFO, still in progress.

    The second time tonight, however, the game crashed as I was warping into the arena. Once restarting the game, all the TFO’s were grayed out, saying I have a 20 minute “Leaver Penalty”, which is absolute BS! How could this possibly be a reasonable action to take when the system punted me out and wouldn’t allow me to return?

    Both times nobody else was on another Xbox. Someone needs to fix this right ricky-tick.

    This is still happening even after the maintenance. But it is NOT a another xbox you need to be worried about, it is the "Same xbox". There can only be ONE user signed onto the "Same" xbox at a time when playing STO. So if you have multiple xboxes at home that is fine, but if you are on the same xbox all other users need to be signed out on that xbox.
    Once this is done you can start STO and play, join groups without any problem. I do not know why this is happening and I hope they fix it sooner rather than later.

    Also even if you can't complete the Breech featured STO you can do the 2 patrols to give you the points you need.

    And yes that Leaving Penalty is a right blood boiling, hulk stomping, trash everything full on explosion level event. (at least when it happens to me)

    Happened again to me tonight, complete with another early-leave penalty. So, as it turns out, since my wife’s is the default account on the Xbox, it logs in first and then I switch over to my account (while hers is still technically logged in). So I logged her account out and restarted (after waiting that stupid half-hour to expire) and it worked! Very helpful workaround, thank you! Still a horrendous bug that should be fixed, but at least the pattern has been established.

    I have to say that during the 2018 Winter Event. I had gold but my brother did not so i had my Xbox set to Home. There were no problems at all with 2 profiles being signed into XBL while one of them playing STO.
    I returned to STO a week ago after almost a years break. But i don't have Gold this time. My brother does and while he is not signed in while i'm playing STO. The game crashes 9 out of 10 times while joining something that requires a team (Mainly TFOs but it has crashed while loading into a Patrol aswell.)

    Clearly something went haywire during the period i was away. :neutral:
