Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer

This ship confuses me a bit. I got one some time ago and have used it here and there. It confuses me though with the fact that it can be a science or tactical ship. Is there a benefit to one over the other? I've looked for guides on how to make the most use of this ship but to no avail. Does anyone out there with one have any suggestions on how this ship should properly be used?

    Use your Sci GW3, then transform and use Tac Cmdr power and destroy.

    To be honest I keep it in normal Sci mode. It's my top ship on Console, great to fly and even does well in PvP despite it's lower HP.

    What exactly do you mean when you say "Tac Cmdr power"?

    When in Tac mode it locks the Sci Cmdr Power and unlock the Tac Cmdr Power (and vice versa. Also allows activation of your Experimental Weapon slot), so things like Attack Pattern Omega or Scatter Volley 3 etc become available to use. The choice for that ability is yours.

    Its no different then the manticore and such, its not a good ship but not a bad ship.

    I use it full tac mode and its going dark feature and traits that compliment it like strike from shadows, into the fray, Exitus Acta Probat, Emergency power to weapons, vauling ambition, And or Delta Prime to pretty much make it an impromptu bird of prey with overwhelmingly powerful alpha strikes.
    Even god rested. No work ethic.
