They have the 2nd most amount of UNIQUE missions in the game next to the Roms, about double what 2049 Feds have at the moment, and still more than ToS Feds. Then DSC Fed with a couple of tutorial missions, than Jemmy. They have regular ship releases also. So they are not ignored. They will get updated Qo'Nos maps sometime in the future, as well as having their arcs updated.

Where did you hear the Qo'nos was getting a map update and is there any more details about that ?

I'm pretty sure I heard it being mentioned on livestream a month or so ago. Sorry I can't give exact details on it. From what I gather, literally everything is being looked at for a quality pass, but it's going to take time.

It's something Taco talked about back when he was working on the current ESD. But it's on the "I'd like to do this some time" level, with no confirmation of what or when.

I think you must be a fairy new or recent player in regards to STO and may not know the extent of the history of KDF game content. Part of the reason I loved STO was because of the promising faction gameplay and it's specific content for the faction. Unfortunately; That ended a long time ago. I don't mind the DISCO garbage, but it is tailor more to appeal Fed side, despite equal gameplay time for all factions.

Azrael is not new or recent. He's been here longer than I have and I started playing around LoR.

He also knows what he's talking about.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

What some people aren't understanding is that getting a daily 130 FM from Crystalline or SB1 just doesn't cut it when building your holdings as doing the defera hards offers another 240. You have multiple projects you want turning over close to daily. Opening up your fleet's holdings for other's in the armada doesn't work either as you need the fleet credits you've earned to purchase (re-invest into) additional doffs at your starbase to complete projects.
That's because you're not meant to build fleet holdings alone. Get a bigger fleet.

    @warpangel

I haven't built my Fed or KDF fleets alone and have more than enough members to get the job done Fed side at least. Our Fed fleet was once approaching cap in earlier days but over the years has sat at about half cap on average with our KDF fleet being much smaller, just like the faction. Armada size is >2500 players Fed side, >1500 player KDF. I've never had the urge to build a 'mega-fleet' or association of fleets or armadas but it sure is cool gaming with people that I've been with since fleet inception in 2012.

Both my fleet's holdings are complete anyways aside from the Dilithium Colonoscopy World and I expect to begin Tier 5 upgrades Fed side this fall with the KDF fleet's Colony progress stopped at T3 + as some good friends who are also our KDF armada Alpha are a handful of projects away from T5 in all three subs will have that taken care of shortly.

I truly hope this puts to rest any fears or concerns you may have regarding my building fleet holdings alone or the size of the fleets I lead.

Being a veteran fleet leader of both factions my interpretation of the OP's concern does center around KDFdefera though and they even mentioned it specifically.

While it is true CE and the new Starbase one is offered to all factions, the truth is the queues are all but mosly dead or super slow to take off. KDFDefera was once a viable choice as well, but with the dwindling of the current community, it is hard to catch a team in defera.
Defera has always been a good source of fleet marks, dilithium, omega marks, and XP as well as a good place to practice your ground game, much more so for newer players, even though it may not provide much of a challenge for you or me (although with a team of 3 having each player solo one of the hard missions can be fun).

What I've noticed over time is that Defera has gone from having multiple instances open on a regular basis to only a single instance and more recently a reduction in FEDdefera activity with a much sharper reduction in KDFdefera activity to the point where KDF players are having difficulty in getting even the minimum team of three together at times. There isn't any 'doom' being proclaimed here... all games evolve over time and I'm sure all those KDF players are just doing something else in-game.

I don't necessarily think that fleet marks should be shared by both factions (am neutral on the subject), but can see how building a KDF fleet would have it's challenges in the current environment.

I am not stick on anything. None of the TRIBBLE has any basis in reality. I play all factions and none of this happens to me at all ever. Additionally Discovery is not garbage. So yeah not one bit of your inane ranting is accurate.

I started on F2P launch day in 2011, IIRC, I have never taken a break, except one that was forced on my a computer breakdown, and I play all factions, on top of which I own a private fleet on both sides, fleets only being progressed by me and me alone.

Nice you started as a F2P player :) - Us BETA Kids remember the good old days before F2P - Too bad Cryptic really did not listen to our suggestions during beta - the game probably would have been much much better. Especially in regards to game mechanics etc... but I guess Pay to Play is a dying breed among the MMO genre.

So TRIBBLET with a rant, do you agree that Fleet marks among other marks should be account wide or not? If not, mind if you explain why you disagree?

Since you have all the time in the world to play 24hrs, how far advanced are you in your private fleet? Just curious - If higher than tier 3 - Kudos bro :)

It has been a very long long time, lol

I must admit I loved the original tutorial - nostalgic here. I also remember the original Starbase 24 that started with a space battle, then a ground battle, then a meet up with the USS McCoy, a science vessel. Actually Starbase 24 was the original leveling hot spot, as leveling back in the days took forever.

Also Borg space was the premiere leveling spot for end game content and prep - Guess Cryptic had to make the game easier for the F2P kiddies, lol.

Heck, bring back the original infected space, the cure, and khitomer space - the ones that took hours to complete, with the very low odd of obtaining that much needed very rare end game equipment. Some call it lunacy, but it was a good run. Though I remembered getting screwed off our merit badges or points during the transition.

You say "should". The core question isn't if it'd be useful, but whether it's NEEDED. I feel they do not need to be account wide. Therefore it's not "should". You'd find it to be a convenience. But it'd be nothing more. Acquiring fleet marks isn't hard.

Feds get saucer-type ships because that's what they fly in the shows 99% of the time, exception being the Defiant.
Exactly. However they could still do more non-saucer ships for a change.

I agree with Azrael on the fleet marks. If you want them on a character, play that character. They really aren't that hard to get. During FTFOs, even if you don't select them, you still get a few fleet marks as part of your package when you play. I've ended up with an overflow of fleet marks just doing this on the character I choose to play for the shiny.

While I probably *could* play all day long, I don't. I play for a few hours in the early morning while the husband is still asleep to pass the time and then sometimes for another couple hours in the evening before bed. During events like the Summer one going on, I also play my family's accts to get them the ship that they probably wouldn't be able to due them having jobs, families, lives, etc.

My husband is retired and I no longer work so I guess I don't have a life lol. Except when I'm needed to babysit the younger grands.

Sometimes donating Fleet Marks is harder than getting them. No problem with Dilitium as that is always wanting.

What about an episode based on some other sci-fi, like Forbidden Planet, or Dogora?

You know this is a licensed Star Trek game....they're not gonna mix in another IP.

They currently have the TNG pilot's cosmozoans ingame, however.

There could also be a prop of a robot (active or broken) for a future map.

And if the Deferi FE is ever remade, the Lunar orrery in episode Cold Case could be a homage to the Krell's machine.
