We all know that the KDF faction is all but officially dead, meaning that we will never see unique and fresh content pertaining to the KDF side. I see soo much lost potential, but in the end the need to generate profit did not see the "Red" as a means of gain.
With that being said - A much needed change must occur - I am referring to making Fleet Marks Account wide, shared between Fed and KDF. It is far easier to generate fleet Marks Fed side then it is to generate it KDF side, in a traditional sense. The transferring of fleet marks and placing them in the account bank would be of great assistance.
Another option that is needed is a Romulan Starbase - not a Tier V one, but something of a mini outpost that can be used to house unique Romulan equipment etc... Nothing insane like the Colony holding but something unique - a mini Romulan starbase not linked to the Fed or KDF Starbases.
Firstly, let's address this 'KDF' are ignored. They have the 2nd most amount of UNIQUE missions in the game next to the Roms, about double what 2049 Feds have at the moment, and still more than ToS Feds. Then DSC Fed with a couple of tutorial missions, than Jemmy. They have regular ship releases also. So they are not ignored. They will get updated Qo'Nos maps sometime in the future, as well as having their arcs updated.
I'd get behind Universally shared currencies like Fleet Marks, and maybe even Rep Marks.
Roms DO have their own 'mini' base, that's the Flotilla already, however Fed/KDF fleets do also have the Rom Embassies, so there's not really much more to explore. A Fed/KDF Rom starbase may be a good idea......but what to do with it??
Finally, as speculation mounts about the game-changing story upcoming, I do believe it'll be a KDF Civil war with Ju'la kicking it off.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Wait. What? How is it easier to get fleet marks on the Fed side? AFAIK, all of the ways to obtain them are fully available to both factions.

Why? Crystalline and Starbase One advanced both award 100-130 marks (counting the daily) are are available to KDF players too.
I'm not against account-bound marks and elite marks, but that isn't something I see as "much needed."
If you have a personal KDF fleet that's starved for marks just join an armada and players in higher-level fleets will dump in all the marks you need.

While it is true CE and the new Starbase one os offered to all factions, the truth is the queues are all but mosly dead or super slow to take off. KDFDefera was once a viable choice as well, but with the dwindling of the current community, it is hard to catch a team in defera.
In regards to just joining an armada, you seem to miss the point of fleets mostly being dead. There are very few high powered active armada's in STO, and those are usually full.
My point is basically to make them universal - Cryptic does not lose out in anything, but will introduce a new type of flexibility in the game. This also applies to elite marks as well.
I also feel a Romulan unique mini-starbase is also a good way to create an additional dilithium sink without creating an upheaval in regards to a starbase holding. It may also encourage more Rom players.
Oh and leemwatson, I never said the KDF were ignored - I meant they have ceased creating unique content for the KDF, hence killing off the KDF portion of the game, this applies to the Romulan faction as well. Cryptic is more focus on unifying the story arcs without having to pay extra revenue towards actual content development. This was also the case of the now dead foundry. separate servers in which they could not justify the expenditure of upkeep.

So by your logic....2409 Feds are dead as a do-do seeing as they haven't had an unique content for how many years now??? And no, the arc past the war doesn't count as Fed, they are Alliance missions, (you know the Alliance that has Fed, KDF, Roms AND Jemmies), as are all new releases bar mini-faction tutorials. You are making a mountain out of a proverbial molehill here. Just because they haven't made unique content for X, does not mean they are ignored OR being killed off!!
And as for queues being mostly dead or super slow....I don't know what game you've been playing lately, but it's not STO. I get queue pops within seconds on the PC and within a minute on the supposedly deserted XBOX. You're making vague supposition with no proof to support the 'dwindling' community. This game is very, very active, even after 9 years of playing. Very few games can even claim this!

On PC? Queue both Crystalline and Starbase One and it will pop within a minute, probably for Starbase One. If you want Crystalline specifically it might take a couple of minutes. It sounds like you're generalizing from "KDFDefera" to "all queues."
How about a few missions that start with the player cleaning up whatever mess their faction's flagship leaves behind after it "saves the day every week"?
Here's a goofy idea;
How about adding a button to the Ground Bridge Officer interface that will enable/disable all the abilities they spawn? It's a minor thing, but it gets tedious right clicking each ability individually especially when one has a full landing party. I prefer that they fire their weapons and that I click for the spawns when I choose.
To be fair, though, if such a thing exists I have yet to discover it.

You can right-click on the little yellow icons to stop them, you'll know they're off when they turn dark-red.
Every time I see a gorgeous ship in space, turns out to be of Klink design. And us Feds only get endless, unimaginative saucers. THAT needs to change. Let us fly Klink already, Cryptic. I guarantee you already I will outright buy a handful of their ships the moment it happens.
One thing I feel that is not being addressed concerns those like me who play mostly and favor Romulans. And that is: We'd reeeeaaally love to have some BRIDGES in the Zen store for our starships. The Feds have bridges, KDF have bridges, why not us? We feel left out. Please, this is very long overdue.

It's all about KDFdefera isn't it? KDF groupings via channel are nearly dead or at least as slow as I've ever seen them and can be quite hard to even get a group of three together.
What some people aren't understanding is that getting a daily 130 FM from Crystalline or SB1 just doesn't cut it when building your holdings as doing the defera hards offers another 240. You have multiple projects you want turning over close to daily.
Opening up your fleet's holdings for other's in the armada doesn't work either as you need the fleet credits you've earned to purchase (re-invest into) additional doffs at your starbase to complete projects.

Agreed. The KDF storyline is both rich and unique. And if you create a KDF character you not only get to experience this great story, but you get access to all those beautiful ships to fly (I too think the Klingons have some of the best ship designs. I even thought this as a lil girl watching Star Trek reruns). I myself have 7 Klingon characters and 2 Orions (Think that's a lot, wait til ya hear how many Romulans I have, lol).
Well, in regards as FEDs be dead, that was not what I said. The missions from hence forth are Fed related, it just happens to be that Cryptic pool everyone in a clump to play them. So yes it is new Fed content, even if it is that terrible show called DISCO.
Queues specific to KDF are slow and do not pop often. CE few minutes I agree, the starbase one etc.. also pop often. Granted that these queues require a player to get to level 50 or higher - for lower lvl players you're SOL if you want the KDF Fleet alert to trigger.
In regards to marks I still stand that the fleet marks should be account wide, there should not be an arguement against that - Queue or no queues.
Now that we are still on the subject in making things account wide - I am hoping also that the FE rewards, you know, the ones offered from the old FE like Breen BO, Shard of possibility etc... needs to be account unlock - as those episodes are no longered replayed as a special event. You now have to go to the archives just to play those episodes - which last time I played does not offered those FE rewards. What is the story on those items?
I think some folks here are misunderstanding stark2k, I agree with him or her in that fleet marks should be account wide. I also agree that the old FE rewards should appear in the phoenix prize menu or be account wide unlock.
Whether or not the queues be dead or not isn't the point here - the point here is that many things should become account wide as many players now have multiple characters in their account. I am still up in the air in regards to mini base suggestion - I mean that colony holding left a bad experience for STO players. Some fleets don't bother with the colony holding due to it being so demanding on resources, but that is another topic for another time.

Right! Must be easy to leave progression of holdings to your leaders or your mass of fellow fleet-mates to do then. I mean that you have trouble donating yourself in any considerable amounts was made clear by you in the past anyways.

If the OP used any actual facts and not his own invented hyperbole and outright TRIBBLE he might have a point or two, but given reality he does not.
So you are actually stuck on the KDF side is dead part? It is not a so called "hyperbole," but an actual fact. just look at the numbers, and it has been stated before by others in regards to the state of the KDF. Also you have not read everything I written, apparently; As stated the state of teh game has change to generalized the gameplay, another fact. Another fact as well as that there has been actual comments from Devs themselves stating that it is not worth investing time and effort on the red side because it is not popular enough.
I think you must be a fairy new or recent player in regards to STO and may not know the extent of the history of KDF game content. Part of the reason I loved STO was because of the promising faction gameplay and it's specific content for the faction. Unfortunately; That ended a long time ago. I don't mind the DISCO garbage, but it is tailor more to appeal Fed side, despite equal gameplay time for all factions.
I understand KDF took off very slowly due to the "lack" of content progression and merely focused on PvP at the beginning, just wish Cryptic did more with the faction. Same goes for the Roms, but that is also wishful thinking and everything now has fallen prey to the DISCO garbage and the notion of streamlining gameplay, whatever that means.

Of fleet marks? Extremely so. Other than the 5min dump spares for nothing project (that I generally leave for members who actually need credits), fleet marks are always full in every project. Pretty much all I put in is dil and sometimes EC.
I do miss the old times when we'd organize FM queue runs with fleetmates to fill up the original starbase projects, back before they made fleet marks so common they're harder to dump than to gain.
With that being said - A much needed change must occur - I am referring to making Fleet Marks Account wide, shared between Fed and KDF. It is far easier to generate fleet Marks Fed side then it is to generate it KDF side, in a traditional sense.

Any half-decent armada will fill in all the marks you want, it doesn't have to be a "top" armada. You'll probably also get some doff donations from people who want fleet credits more than EC.
Doffs for feeding to projects can also be gained from the millions of dil you'll need to feed to the projects, and purchased from the exchange for EC.
So this problem seems to apply the most to:
KDF solo fleet holders who want to grind many thousands of fleet marks instead of joining an armada and possibly spending EC on doffs.
That's a fairly small niche.
As I said earlier: I'm not against account-bound marks and elite marks, but that isn't something I see as "much needed."
I'd estimate the best way to grind fleet marks would actually be random queues, since all the queues have a fleet mark option plus the allmark bonus box. KDF or no KDF, I would expect that's a lot faster and more repeatable than anything to do with manually teaming on Defera.

Where did you hear the Qo'nos was getting a map update and is there any more details about that ?
I do miss the old times when we'd organize FM queue runs with fleetmates to fill up the original starbase projects, back before they made fleet marks so common they're harder to dump than to gain.
