They used to have ship bridges in packs in the C-Store for around 500. They also created full blown interiors in special packs (like the TOS) for 2000. Then they created the Voyager interior that again was full blown but was attached to the ship pack, then not.
The last iteration was the full blown Galaxy interior, but that had no extras but still sold for 2000. I hear sales were not that great and probably 'spoiled the broth' for future bridge creations. It never occured to them that the 2000 price tag with no extras had anything to do with the lower sales numbers.
You're probably right. I think marketing for Starship Interiors hasn't been handled very well.

I don't think it's that they can't, Val. You may recall that many times I have presented ideas for ship interiors myself (details in the spoiler). All of which, I believe, they could do since it takes advantage of things already in-game. But it's considerable work, according to Taco, to make ship interiors to begin with. Then there's the need to have systems teams go in and hook everything up for them to function, which also takes time. And that's just for the basic stuff, which needs to be done each time a new bridge is made. Adding more things to do there would take even more time. In essence, IF starship interiors were to get an overhaul, to be done right, it would most likely come as the focus of a season or expansion, and that would mean significant dedicated development time. I'd love to see it happen, but it's not going to happen in some dev's spare time.
Yes, I know all of this. We all do. This stuff takes time and costs money to develop - but so do ships and other content that wind up in the store. That's kind of the point.
Granted. I guess the point I was trying to make is that Cryptic would have to make the business decision to invest development time into something that so far, from their sales perspective, has a poor track record. Ships sell well, bridges don't. So, it is understandable that they no longer invest time into bridges unless they can either 1) incorporate it into other playable content, thereby justifying the investment; and/or 2) guarantee some kind of sales/profit for return on investment. Making interiors the focus of a season/expansion could do both, I believe, but someone at Cryptic would have to decide to take the gamble on how well it would be received by the playerbase. And what happens if it doesn't go over well at all?

There really should be one eventually, I mean I understand why they weren't added right away....but eventually they should add the bridges for the Connie and D7.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power

When they sell a ship, in a way that it takes on average 200 usd to get it only makes sense for people to expect some quality. I can understand not making a bridge for a 3k zen ship but 200 usd and no bridge shows not valueing their customers. And I am usually not too critical of them but its not a smart decision. If they didnt want to develop a bridge they should had monetized it accordingly. You cant sell a ferarri with fiat interior on typical ferarri price and expect people be happy on it
Problem is, as things stand, we only really get new ship interiors if having one ties into a new episode. We got the Intrepid class interior because of Delta Rising, the focus on Voyager and the Voyager cast voice-acting. We got the Galaxy class interior due to LeVar Burton doing voice work. Crossfield and Walker class? Discovery content and voice actors.
I'd argue the only way we're liable to get the DSC Constitution interior is if the appropriate voice actors are brought in.
I say since Killy is still running around somehow she gets the Defiant NCC- 1764 in it's disco look into the 25th century or any Disco Connie and have the Bridge for it or she infiltrates that shipyard the blogs keep finding all that Disco tech and finds a Disco Connie
It's like when you find your parents stash of 8Track and Bell bottoms
personally I don't see the what the fuss about the bridge is all about its not like you can fly the ship from there or actually do very much than access a few doff missions and the account bank or if a certain mission calls for it access a console to decrypt a log

Space Barbie is the true endgame, and we want our Space Barbie's Dream House dagnabit!
(I am 100% serious about this )
It's F.C.T. territory but I'm in the minority that would pay for better stronghold customization, even though it's useless.
I admit, at first I was a little disappointed that I didn't get a bridge with my 1.3 Billion EC ship..
But honestly, it was more like 'no bridge? Hm.. oh well' and then I didn't really think about it again.
It does feel like all 'Grand Prize' ships should have a custom bridge, but to be totally honest.. like most players, I almost never use the bridge. Usually, when I first unpack a ship with a custom bridge, I take a tour and admire it and then don't use it again.
I am having too much fun flying the ship to go stand on my bridge and do nothing.
The reason they didn't bother was that it was going to be highly sought after regardless. No need for the extra effort if people are slobbering all over themselves for it.
They held off introducing it until the end of the Season to see what capabilities it would have. That also let them see the the Bridge in all its glory as well. Alas, they chose not to avail themselves of that latter information.

Having said that, I want to throw in my support for the idea that in terms of ships that could potentially cost hundreds of dollars based on luck of the draw RNG mechanics designed to keep us dumping LOTS of money into this game, A unique bridge AND interior should be provided. Hell, for that matter, ANY ship that has a connection to Zen sales, be it lock boxes or direct C-store purchases, should be a fully fleshed out ship. WITH a bridge. With a crew Deck. With an engineering deck. And with a unique layout for that class of ship.
If we are expected to pay as much as they charge for ships, then it is worth the effort to make those ships complete.
Heck, even unique reskins using the same interior models would be a step in the right direction in terms of adding value to our ship purchases.
+1 - Well said.

Even just the Bridge itself which we always got with these Ships, though some may use the same one made for multiple ships of the same race.

The Disco Connie bridge will come when they release the Disco Connie uniforms. Obviously. Be patient. I waited 6 years for a proper TNG Galaxy bridge. They get around to extras when they aren't busy working on other things -- like right now they are hugely busy making Picard content, so relax. Disco's next season will probably introduce new Disco content into STO.
The other issue is that the Conni has detailed CGI models available since the end of series 1. The bridge likely only exists as a set and, unlike the Disco bridge or the Shino bridge, it's not been featured in multiple episodes from all different angles.
Making the ship is comparatively easy, they use the existing models as guides, and make a beautiful looking, badly implemented, and badly sold, ship quite easily.
The bridge would require getting loads of screenshots of a show that's not yet out on home media or Netflix in the US in a production that already suffers from dynamic camera work or colour filters, and try cobble something out of that.

1) Just because the release of the ship was delayed doesn't mean that there was available development time in the schedule to devote to doing the bridge at that point in time.
2) The suggestion of topic removal from the FCT is denied. The FCT is not voted on. The topics there have received official answers from devs. You have your answer about travelling from the bridge. Unless a DEV says something different about the topic, it stays.
3) The FCT also explains why full custom interiors aren't done often.
I've indulged this thread as the topic of starship interiors is one that I support, but it's strayed from the OP, whose original concern has been addressed, and is clearly venturing into FCT territory now. /Thread
