Disruptor Build... Bajoran Defense 2-Set?

Looking for a Mass Disruptor setup to go around a on few builds. I noticed 2 pieces of the well-received Baj-Def set gives some disrurptor bonus.

If there is a better space set, I would like to hear your suggestions.

If Baj-Def is G2G, which two pieces of the set should be used/developed, and what might you suggest for the other 2?

Better for what? there's a lot of variety in builds, so what kind of gear you will find most useful varies.

Clearly, but that offers nothing more from where the thread started. The "For what" was stated in the OP: the best set to assemble for a mass disruptor build.

Thus there are 2 questions the first being quite clear... is there a better set to use instead for this capacity?

The second question is more subjective to the specific kind of build (if BD is the right 2-set, which 2) since a certain build would capitalize on the impulse of set X with the BD shield and deflector, whereas another build might be better using the BD deflector and impulse along with the shield from Y.

2 Piece Nukara space parts set offers a Cat2 damage bonus regardless of what energy type you use. The 2 piece from Bajoran Defense is a Cat1 damage increase. I use that over the Bajoran set myself. For me, I use Nukara deflector and shields, with the competitive engines and iconian warp core.

Thank you for pointing that out. I noticed some bonus with the Nukara set but did not compare it with the BD set for overall damage.

A Cat2 bonus is different from a Cat1 bonus, just to let you know. Also, a two piece of the Undine Reputation weapons set likewise offers a Cat2 bonus. Usually I use something like the heavy turret and the universal console to cover that, whether in disruptor or tetryon on my end. Or I'll use the universal and tactical consoles along w/ the heavy turret for the 3 piece. :)

The Martok set from Brushfire is a great set for disruptor builds. Also the Undine set using the heavy disruptor turret is good.

The Terran rep set also synergizes well with Disruptor builds.

The Preserver Resonant Technologies set from Blood of Ancients is also a good set for disruptor builds

Weapons (at least) seem a little more straight forward. Entoiled and TTF sets appear to be the go-tos with Preserver or Martok as considerable alts/supplements depending on how to shape the build.

I seem to be having more problems with the better (we can't say 'best' until narrowed down to a T... if even then) ship gear sets. They can be combined... broken up and then one has to decide which 2-3 pieces to keep/match with the 1-2 pieces from the other set(s).

If you just want the maximized 'best' setup for Disruptor builds, here is the combo most people are currently using.

Weapons - Terran Task Force Disruptor Beam Array. - Currently the hardest hitting, strongest single weapon in the game. This is a staple in all disruptor builds rather they are cannons or beams. The rest of the weapons tend to be Spiral Wave Disruptors. The next best option is Sensor-Linked Disruptors. Barring those two options, the best option for your weapon is simply crafted Disruptors with combinations of Damge, Critical Damage, and Pen Mods.

Impulse Engine - Prevailing Regalia Engines. Most people prefer the fortified version, it gives you a speed boost, a defensive bonus, and a significant turn rate bonus every time you use a shield or hull heal. The Fortified Version is favored because having it proc on heal makes it easier to manually control the boost.

Deflector - Elite Fleet Protomatter Deflector. Best deflector for Energy Builds hands down. Gives you a damage as well as Critical bonus.. available from the Fleet Colony.

Warp Core - Elite Fleet Plasma Integrated Warp Core. Most use the one with AMP, EFF, SSR, W-E, WCAP. This core gives a damage bonus for high power levels, increases subystem power transfer rate, sends bonus weapon power to your engines and has a boost for your weapon power. Available from your Fleet Spire.

Shield - Prevailing Regalia Resilient Shield. You want the Innervated Version.. a shield that gives you bonus to Critical chance and severity? What's not to love?

For futher ideas on set combos and sample builds, please feel free to visit the DPS League Sample Builds list. There are all kinds of ideas here on different types of ship builds, Disruptor being one of the more popular types.

If you're just looking to maximize a disruptor build for maximum damage, this is the combination you want.

I’ve found the Bajoran 2-pc to be lackluster. But depending on your build, re-engineering the deflector or impulse engines can help quite a bit. For instance, my D’Deridex has re-engineered impulse engines for max turn rate. The deflector can be re-engineered for hull or shield healing or re-engineered for science abilities if you want to use the 2-pc.

I’ve found the Undine set bonus for disrupters works best with the turret and torpedo. My best hit with that torp was around 295k.

    Nausicaan set is a must.
Martok 2-pc with console and Omni is a must.
Terran Rep beam and cannons a must. I also use the Terran warp core and shields.
    Lukari Colony deflector.
There’s a set bonus damage for the Romulan Rep Disrupter beam (Rep tier 6) and Zero Point console.
The Dynamic Power Redistributor Module gives a bonus to damage and paired with the Point Defense Bombardment Warhead which gives damage to torps, the set bonus gives +33% disruptor damage.

Mix and match with the Tachyokinetic converter and bioneural infusion circuits with spire locators or exploiters and your on your way to a nice build.
