DPRM for Federation Confusion

I am trying to obtain the Dynamic Power Redistributor Module on my federation character and I am a bit confused, from what I have read and seen, romulan and klingon players can get this for 6.5mil on the exchange, but federation players need to spend 445mil+ to buy the TOS Dreadnaught, thats roughly 68 times the price, for one console, ... am I missing something really obvious, have i misread the information or has the game for mad?

    It works the same way for Federation captains who want a console that is only on one of the KDF or Romulan ships.

    If the console is on a ship available to your faction, then you need to buy the ship. The console was created with the ship and for the ship, and Cryptic needs you to buy the ship to support the game.

    If the ship is lock box, lobi, R&D pack then buying the ship only gets you the console for the one character that unboxes the ship. Also, the ship can't be reclaimed so don't dismiss it.

    If you aren't willing to buy the ship, your options are: use some other console

    Yep, unfortunately.. you read that correctly.

    The DPRM is 400M+ per character for feds. The Feds have few downsides, that is one of them.

    It's not as bad as it sounds, I told myself I would never spend that much EC for a console.. that was like 3 DPRM's ago. :lol:

    Yeah KDF has the same thing with the "Honored Dead" trait, fairly inexpensive for FED, for KDF you need to buy the Sacophagus starship that's prized rather high, to get access to that trait.

    Get yourself 7 or 8 characters.. refine the 8k per day on each. Trade the Dilithum for Zen, use the Zen to buy Master Keys and sell them. They usually go for anywhere from 4-5M per key.

    Takes a bit of time, but it's easy and free. :wink:
