After the PC has gotten 2 Pheonix events since we on console have had one which was jan 23rd. , do any of you fantastic community moderators or any Devs who actually read these forums know when we , the console players, will get a Pheonix event?
Just keep checking your calendar. Even if devs or mods know they might not be allowed to tell you without management approval.
There is no official statement on why or when they decide to release the hounds, but speculation is it's a combination of managing the dil - zen exchange, and as a filler event.
With dilithium hitting close to 200 per zen........they had better hurry and drop the hammer. People are making a killing. People who don't spend money to play the game are suffering becux there hard earned dil cant buy them cstore gear. But Oh well. The rich get richer. Thanks Bro!!!!
Yeah the DilEx on PC is much higher than you guys, they are probably going to wait for the same approx benchmark we on PC have, about 340 dil per Zen.
I've always been under the impression it is based on the dil exchange as well. As a fellow console player I certainly hear you. It's been a while. We can't really use pc as a comparison though. As echatty just said, yeah, wow, Imagine having to pay 330 dil per zen instead of 190-200.
But I hear you. Hopefully we get one soon. I've got almost 2mil dil saved up since the last event. At this point i think it's reasonable to assume they are waiting until the bajoran interceptor and other goodies get patched into console like they were on pc. Or maybe we get one tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Edit: wine commercial had me cracking up btw
Well played
Have patience. Initially the Phoenix boxes were supposed to be a rarity through the year. The Console's events do not identically follow the PC's for a few reasons, usually because of permissions needed, patches to be paid for et al. They will more than likely update the Console version of Phoenix within the next month.

You should try the dil market on PC, the going rate is about 330-1.
I left the game for 4 years. When I left, it was averaging between 198-220 on PC. When I came back, I was surprised that people would actually be willing to exchange that much Dil for Zen. I never imagined it would jump so high. Though when the overpriced upgrade system first came out, the exchange did see a spike for a while. But nowhere near 300.
I just save up my Dil, exchange it at about 320, then sell the Zen back when it hits 340. I figure if people are crazy enough to spend over 300 per Zen, I will make as much profit off of them as I can also. Having fun playing the exchange sometimes.

It was well over 400 when the first version of Phoenix was released, and dropped down to about 250 overnight.

The PC had a while before phoenix arrived to help keep the exchange from capping out and stagnating which is partly why it's higher. Other reasons will be the age of the game and player numbers.
On console phoenix has been there from the start, less players and a "younger" game.
Remember the DIlex has a cap. I believe it's 500 dil per zen. Which the higher this gets, the more Cryptic likes it. For those that use it, it means watching dil to zen swap. When it gets to expensive for some. Then it encourages them to actually break out the credit card and buy what they want. It's meant to be a dil sink, just like fleets.
On PC a lot of the zen floating around in the Dilex is from lifetime subs, that stipend they get. But, it's a player driven market. One of those, like the exchange, where people fail to realize, things will sell for a cheaper price faster than at higher prices.
Personally, zen just isn't worth more than 250 per. With the new earn a T6 cash shop coupon, some people, like me, will just wait for that and not even bother much with the Dilex any more. There's 3 or 4 T6 ships in the cash shop that interest me enough to think about acquiring them. The ones I'm not interested in, will never get purchased.
As to why PC get more Phoenix Packs over console. Well, that's to give console players time to build up some dil. A lot of PC players have the dil farm going, so they generally have tons of dil to waste. Consoles are still locked in the fleet building and such, that absorbs a lot of their dil already. Sort of one of those odd balance things Cryptic does to help.

When a dil sink appears, people want more dil, the value of dil rises, meaning you need less dil for zen.
