Why does The Discovery Operations Pack include the Walker-class Prototype Light Exploration Cruiser?

I already own this ship, why are you trying to resell this to me?

    The Discovery Operations Pack includes the Discovery Starter Pack. Usually, these two pack types are introduced at the same time, giving players a cheaper option with the smaller pack. Oddly, this Operations Pack is coming later, but its composition, by including the Starter Pack, is typical of such offerings.

    Actually, from my reading (and I could be wrong), this pack does NOT include the ship included in the Starter Pack (the Walker class) but rather includes a SKIN for the ship, IF you own it?

    I am more confused by this weird combination offering as I am used to the Starter Pack being included in the Big Pack as it were. Unless I'm reading the release notes wrong....it doesn't appear that way as it is highlighting the 4 ships and a new skin?

    Also of note: The Tardigrade pet in the starter pack is a non-combat pet while the Tardigrade in the operations pack is a combat pet.

    Just wish there was a science ship included. My DSC character is a science officer. Using the T'Pau right now (loving it at low level at the moment).

    Yeah, from what i understand, there is no starter pack in this bundle...

    There is a starter pack in the bundle. Theres a chart at the bottom of the announcement page the shows everything you get.

    If you already own it, they are "reselling" it to you but you do get a new skin for it.

    Also, with the Jem'Hadar big bundle, if you already owned the starter pack then you got a discount on the big bundle. That might happen for this bundle too.

    They did a similar thing with the Temporal and Jam'Hadar packs and their starter packs, they both include one of the same ships.
