While doing Q's Omega Molecule Stabilization, I got to DS9 and can't find the omega molecule ANYWHERE!
Plus, all the lights on DS9 are shut off.

You have Lighting 1.0 on???? And haven't been in DS9 in ages, have you? LOL!
Let me go check my settings for Lighting 1.0.

To get the lights back on DS9....with Lighting 1.0.

    Go to OPTIONS, Graphics tab.
Select: Post Processing ON and Bloom Quality ON

Then go to : OPTIONS, Advanced tab
And adjust Bloom Quality to 0 (zero)

Give your graphics card a second to adjust....lights will come up.

You can, also, try this...but it did not work for me....settings above did:

If you are running in Lighting 1.0, and when you are on DS9 the lighting appears to be non-existent (black), please go to your graphics settings, turn shadows off, hit apply, then turn shadows back on, and hit OK.

A few people on Holodeck are reporting that this has fixed the issue for them.

As for finding Omegas on DS9 Ground..... I just had that one.
I read that they are most likely to show up on the Second Floor...so get up the stairs.

I found mine tonight, on the top level of Quark's (yes inside the bar), stuck half way into the floor...that is the 3rd level of Quarks, lines up with 2nd level of the new DS9.

Correction: 2nd floor of Quark's lines up with 2nd floor of the new DS9. There is another set of stairs going up to the 3rd floor of Quark's inside the bar.

NO, the scan (default keybind "V")does not work...it will only point at the closest vendors, usually on the first floor. You will just have to run around until you see the Red Glow.

I have found it on the second level of DS9 and more often on the second or even third level at Quarks. I run a circle around the second level, check Quarks and if I still don't find it, I do an instance change, that usually works.
    LTS and loving it.

Oh, an instance change...I hadn't thought about that.
I will remember if I draw DS9, again. Thanks!

I have the same issue : No Omega molecule spawning on Deep Space 9.

    I've been to :
    -The Promenade
    -The Upper level
    -Quark's bar
    -Ops

And yet, NOTHING is to be found ... Wheareas on Andoria and on Drozana station, it's relatively easy.
In addition, there is no white oval pointing to it's direction, at any of the locations visited on DS9. Maybe I'm missing something, however, to me ... this looks like a bug ... Please fix (!)

Update : Omega particle located, it's this exact location, on the upper level, for those unable to find it - However (@ Dev's) , the white map marker is *completely absent* ..

    Did you try changing instances?

Changing instances did not help. Scans say it is in Quarks except maybe it means some floor below or some area on the other side of Quarks that we can't access or...I just can't find it.

Scans do not work on DS9 for the Omega Game. It points to an NPC, a vendor, most likely.

It took me entirely too long to hunt one down in the new DS9. The old DS9 worked great.

I just found a spot on the promenade second floor. I went up the stairs near General Kurn and Adetpa.

Those things used to spawn all over the old DS9...the Promenade, the shrine, in the bank area, shipyard..... Not that that helps us now.

And everything is closed off by doors in this new DS9 you really can not tell which room....without going in them one by one. No wondering why people can find them easier on the second floor and Quarks.

Your picture makes no sense...are ALL of those dots on the map an Omega Particle???

And is that a picture of the first floor, or second floor of DS9....and Quarks has 3 levels.

Omega Particle on DS9 Ground is random location... there is probably only 1 particle as well. Never seen more than 1 but then I never bothered to look for a 2nd one.

Folks say it is on 2nd level... never found on 2nd Prom, nor the 2nd & 3rd level of Quarks. I did find mine on GROUND level inside the tailor shop. So it is probably random spawn location with a despawn/respawn timer like with all other Omega Particles. You just need to do a room by room search.

Spawn inside DS9, look around, if you dont see it, go to 2nd level... circle the place. If not go inside Quarks 2nd then 3rd level, then ground level. If not go to Ops... worse case... ground level room by room search (besides Quarks). Hope it doesnt despawn/respawn during your hunt... otherwise it just repopped in a place you already cleared. /shrug you wont know since map has no indication of where it can be & Tricorder doesnt help.

@where2r1 "Gee, thanks for sharing - I've looked at the player icon on the map. However, please note, the Omega particles appear random. The upper level is in fact, the first floor. I will now go and, take some social behaviour classes".

    There, fixed that, for you.

In any case, you learn something new, every day.

For instance, I wasn't yet aware these Omega particles appear at random locations. In addition ... If we can afford to worry about this sort of thing, we lead a pretty luxury life. ;-)

So the lesson here, there is a little bit of work involved. Looking forward to seeing this vessel both ingame, and in next week's "Disco " episode !

O.k. Still did not clearify your photo? Why do you expect thanks for incomplete and confusing info??? What do the dots on your picture actually represent?

OK... I am in the game and on DS9 now.

The white dots in the picture represents NPCs and players that are wandering around the DS9 map. I am going to go look for one of the Omega Particles and see if it has a white dot as an indicator of location.

The Mini Map for the first floor has only one ring. Your picture with two rings is from the second floor.

I found an Omega Particle on the second floor. Marked the location on the Mini Map with a white triangle.

When the Omega icon disappears from the screen, the white dot remains behind. So, yes, some of the white dots on the Mini Map are locations of where an Omega game could show up, when it activates. But there is no indication of which white dots are which (Omega, NPC, or Players) by looking at the Mini map.
At this point I am calling this wrong...because that is the only one I found at a white dot indicator.

BTW...the Omega game icons seem to be spawing half way through the floors on DS9. And any scans I do (default 'V') is pointing me to turbolifts. ???? LOL!

I found a second Omega Particle Game....inside Quark's bar. Does not have a white dot indicator.
It is half way through one of the table tops in the first level of the bar....I can turn around and see Quark, himself.

This is definitely taking much longer than expected.

I am, also, incorrect about the third floor of Quark's lining up to the second floor of DS9. The second floor of Quark's lines up with the second floor of DS9....third floor is another set of stairs, inside Quark's.

Found a third Omega Particle Game....second floor of DS9. Does not have a white dot indicator. This one is fully visible...not half way through the floor or a table.

Found a forth Omega Particle Game...second floor of DS9 (after an instance change). Does not have a white dot indicator.

Stopping now because I need to get other stuff done.

I am going to say...finding these games on DS9 Ground is a matter of hunting and pecking for them.

It took me 50 mins to locate 4 of them. They seem to spawn one at a time. I would say, the one that I found that spawns at a white dot was an aberration and just a fluke I happened to run into one that is at a white dot location.
