E-mail redeem pets?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
SO i got the adoption pet thing and a code went to redeem it went threw but im looking for the littile guy i dont see it ?

Do i have to relog in?

    Got the code from my email also. Used it and it said it was accepted and would be in my game email.
    Been 2 hours and still nothing? am I supposed to get it from somewhere?

    The tardgrade pets should show up after the patch.

    Cool, glad I did the adoption game 5 times back when it came out to get the different versions of the email updates. I hope that means I'll get 5 in games pets?

    Was posted on twitter. If the redeem code should not work then to try again after maintenance tomorrow

    Instead of all this knashing and whailing did anyone think that applying the code unlocks the item in the Lobi Store?

    The tardigrades are released with Mirror of Discovery, so obviously they can't be in the game before that. Duh.

    The email doesn't explain this. When you enter the code into Arc and it eventually works, it tells you to now login to STO and your item will appear in your ingame mail. It doesn't specify when. If it isn't available before the patch then why send all the mails out before and why allow the code to be redeemed before it's ready? A simple message to state this item can be redeemed once Mirror of Discovery is live, would be enough to answer questions. Your "Duh" comment is just insulting to those with genuine questions, questions that are due to Cryptic's sloppy approach to email marketing and reward giveaways.
    If assuming that people are smart enough to realize that content in today's patch won't be in the game until the patch is done without being told so by Cryptic every time they talk about it is insulting, then so be it.

    Well, given that the blog, this thread, and all the social media posts via Facebook, Twitter, etc., came out before the emails ever went out, if you were "better informed than many players," you should've known then. The only thing I find sloppy is people's reading comprehension, but that is par for the course.
