Constant crashing when trying to login on 1 character

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has been having the game crash when trying to login as a character and then receiving the following error message.

Here is the error :

Fatal error: Failed to load onto data for map: either the data does not exist on disk (failed to patch) or the crc or version number of the data on disk does not match what the code is expecting.

Technical Details: map
'Maps/Planets/Rom/Rom_Sierra_Starbase39_Ground/Rom_Sierra_Starbase39_Ground.Zone'

I've been getting it since Monday and have been sending the crash reports in since then.

All of my other characters let me login successfully, none of them are actually on this map.

I was running the game through Steam when all of this happened.

I'm now downloading the game through Arc to see if that will sort the issue or not.

I encountered the same error but with the DS9 map. I found a work-around and posted the details there.
Short summary: Turn ON "Force verify" AND turn OFF "On-demand patching".

Hope it helps you like it did me and other players.

@snovern thanks for the tip....i didn't actually get to try that because i was still downloading the game.... which seems to have sorted it.

I'm not running the game through Steam anymore and I've managed to get into the character in question.

I'll remember the tip though if it starts doing it again
