New Romulus Reputation T5 Rewards, Secrets of the Ancients

I went to do the Secrets of the Ancients to get the Dilithium and Marks reward for getting to T5 but all I received was xp, I looked on the mission available and in progress tabs but nothing with the rewards. I even spoke to my faction specific npc on New Romulus just incase they changed it to speaking to him.

I have a felling that when Secrets of the Ancients was made a repeatable mission giving xp that it was switched to giving you the reward when you finish T5 instead, and they didnt think to take into account if someone had the mission already for the Rep Rewards.

Which wouldn't surprise me as they did that with the Pavel mission on risa, hopefully they will actually fix this unlike the Pavel one.

    I can tell you for sure that was not the case when it became a repeatable mission.. I just tried to do the same thing as well and i did NOT receive the Romulan Reputation reward as well.

    Its possible they have made it an end reward now with the new changes to the reputation with Age of Discovery but it would be nice if you guys can clear this up for us. How are we suppose to get the Romulan Reputation reward now Cryptic?

    Yep, did it like 10 mins ago, can confirm, there's no t5 reward. Quinn pops up, says i can use stuff for rep projects and gives me nothing. I even finished warehouse mission to complete New Romulus arc after that but no luck. Finished Dyson rep missions and Nukara rep mission right before New Romulus ones and both gave me dil and marks.

    Hello @voyagerq , @wintermutevres , and @aslap , Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've filed the bug and passed it along to the proper team to look into. With the Age of Discovery release, players who complete the t5 project will receive the proper rewards. As above players who obtained but did not complete "Secrets of the Ancients" prior to AoD will be looked into.

    Ok, no one has brought this up, and I know it can be easily overlooked: From my memory, like 'Overgrown Caves' and 'Web Access', 'Power Source' and the 'Ancients' rep part of it are two separate things; it's possible to complete 'Power Source' without completing the 'Ancients'. To do so, you have to complete the mission, and then, before leaving the instance, use the 'Signal D'Tan' button on the bottom right of the screen. That is how you finish the rep part of this mission.

    Again, this is easy to miss, so it's possible this is the issue. I'd heavily suggest you replay the mission, and then look for the 'Signal D'Tan' prompt after it says 'Mission Complete', and before you leave the instance.

    Ok, so yes, there is something going on since AoD for people that have had this in progress: on my Fed JH character, I skipped to the parts to be able to do the 5 New Romulus rep missions. Upon finishing 'Power Source' and then watching the cutscene for 'Secrets of the Ancients' before leaving the instance, I was contacted by Quinn (as should happen), I was given Xp and Expertise, but I was not given the 750 Romulan Marks, 30,000 Dilithium, or the 40,000 EC.

    We'll see in a few days if the 'With the Age of Discovery release, players who complete the t5 project will receive the proper rewards.' part is correct, since I have my Temporal Recruit finally getting on with it.

    Yeah, just ran into this with my Fed JH, who had T5 rep awhile ago, but only got around to doing Secrets of the Ancients tonight to get the marks for T6. No T5 rewards. /sigh

    Well, at least I found this thread, so I know not to do it on my other alts who hadn't gotten around to it yet... :/

    Damn!! wish I´d seen this before doing that mission with my JH!!! same issue unfortunately :'( . Hope we get the rewards retrospectively once its fixed??

    My Fed Dom completed the Romulan T5 rep back in July, prior to AoD, but I hadn't done "Secrets of the Ancients" because my episode progression was locked behind "The Core of the Matter" (and who knows what other unskippable missions), which I haven't found time to replay (again). Since AoD launched, I haven't checked to see if TCotM is skippable now, or if I could otherwise get to SotA, however it sounds like I'll be in the same position as the earlier posters, and will wait patiently while you look into it. Thanks in advance for that.

    And while you're looking into things, can you please look into a system that makes **ALL** missions skippable? I mean, at least put something in there that looks to see if a mission has been played at least once on the account (and can then be skipped on alts). Please? This is one of the biggest headaches I have with my 23 characters, having to not only replay certain missions for their special gear/traits/etc., but having to re-play (againx23) all the missions just to get the one mission I actually want to reply.

    After inquiring with the proper team, there are no plans to respect pre-Age of discovery mission journal as from what I was told there were underlying issues. This includes players who did complete Secrets of the Ancients before the age of discovery drop.
    For issues with the mission journal, here is a list of Federation mandatory missions

    Klingon War:
    Welcome to Earth Spacedock

    Romulan Mystery
    Heading out

    Cardassian Struggle:
    Lost and Found

    Borg advance
    Report on Borg activities

    New Romulus
    New Romulus aid

    Solanae Dyson Sphere
    Circles within circles
    Supply woes

    Delta Quadrant
    Escalation
    The Kobali Front (just the initial hand off mission) part 1 ,2 ,3 are optional

    Those are the only missions you would need to actually do to fully unlock the mission journal. Every other mission can be skipped with the skip button. Once you complete only those missions on any old character and skip the rest you will be back to pre-Age of discovery mission journal progression.

    Here I am reporting yet another toon a Jem'Hdar Vanguard completing the Secrets of the Ancients getting the End D'an scene seeing Admiral Quinn advise to use the rewards in reputation projects, yet not recieving the 32k dilithium and 750 Romulan marks for such projects. Have sent my screen shots in under support in the ARC support pages and now have listed this bug again given that this is not the first time a character that has completed the rep up to T6 before getting the toon to the end of the New Romulus story arc, not getting the T5 reputation dilithum reward.

    Victory is defeating the Bugs
    Laddy, don't you think you should... rephrase that??

    I do believe the New Romulus missions are no longer tied to the Reputation. You should have gotten the rewards after completing the T5 reputation.

    Yes it should, no it did'nt, support asked me to post a bug report hence this post, all was sorted and the rewards manually issued to me, Playing since 2011 and all reps of the toon were completed out to T6 but did'nt drop the T5 rewards, happened on a couple of toons who complete the reputations before running the story arcs, last one was a Delta recruit this one the Jem Vanguard
