Does anyone know if the breach event will give out gamma marks? They are the only ones I really need right now, and If I'm going to grind out 10 toons for the dill, getting those marks would be nice.

Just do Swarm Advanced. Like 191 Marks a pop (give or take a few: I have some Mark bonuses in effect).
Never really understood the whole "event fatigue" thing... if you feel burned out on events, don't do them. You can live without that shiny that will more than likely end up in a lockbox one day.
Me neither. 5-10 minutes a day, at zero challenge, no gear requirement and a week or two spare to catch up if you miss days. For gimmick items that are usually far from best-in-slot, in a game where no item is actually required for anything at all. Fatigue? Hah.
If anything, I'd wish STO would give me a whole lot more reason to play. I barely even log in outside events these days.
Barely logging in outside events should be a warning sign this soon after to the release of an "expansion".
It may have brought new races and ships but the actual content to spend time playing was thin on the ground in the form of one STF and a waiting zone which lasted marginally longer than the kethi BZ because of the queue times rather than bugs.
If you are fatigued I would suggest a good night's sleep. Don't eat heavy before bed.

I read somewhere that the player base made a nosedive to an all time low, much faster than new rom launch. I wonder if they are trying to increase the playtime stats to make it appear that things are not as bad as they really are ?

When I look at my FL I can not confirm that. The only long term implications there were Delta Rising and a further decline with S13.
But now it’s more like business as usual. Casual players take a break after they enjoyed ViL and wait for next release. That’s something I can see best in fleet rosters.
PvE queues are as empty as before. Only the events attract low level players a bit more into teamed content.
Personally I view the idea to run a second event directly after the other one as positive. Cryptic will undoubtable issue changes for reputations soon and give players a few more chances to save additional marks under current rules.
Who knows, multiple choice marks in red alerts could already belong to the past in 3-4 weeks so in short I believe it to be more of an offer than a means for life support.

Why all the hate for multiple Marks Choice in Red Alerts? Other than the Daily you only get 10 Marks. If they pull this out we'd better get the Daily Wrapper for the Red Alert (Tholian) back from Subcommander Mivak.
That change would be a good way to kill these Red Alerts off.
You want Marks; the Shuttle Weekend Event is returning on the Weekend of September 20. Now there is a Marks payout that is very worthwhile. Doing 'Atmospheric Assault' on Advanced could yield between 255 and 310 (with Daily) Marks per run.

Yep, I remember. Shuttle event is a mega supply for marks.
As for me I’m well prepared. I have like 1,5-2k marks of all 12 reps on all 12 toons of mine.

I'm just so sick of the breach event. I've ran it a ton in the past, before the account unlock, on a ton of characters. It is simply not fun anymore. It's just another daily grind now, giving the thought about launching STO that much less appealing.
I'd rather have a return of the mirror event, since at least that remains a challenge with proper enemies and team work. Breach is just run down the corridor, ignore the weak points since my CRF setup/turrets have a hard time anyways, fly around the same corridors, kill bad guys, wait on fake cores to destroy, spam the main generator (more waiting), more flying.
Alternatively you could bring the biggest ship available to you and try to body block as many people as you can before only shooting stuff labelled with a ? with your FAW macro.
At least the breach start point doesn't have 10 people trying to spawn into the space for two and clutter to get stuck inside.

There's loads and loads of content in the game, just no reason to play any of it. Something I've talked at length in many a threads.
Events have unique time-limited rewards, so they're worth playing. Playing them gets me something I couldn't otherwise get. Standard endgame is based on generic resources to buy your rewards with...but I don't need any of the rewards for anything and they aren't going anywhere, so it's best to keep the resources until I do need something (if there ever comes such a time). And then if I'm not going to use the resources, I don't have to collect more, either.
I was specifically referring to the new stuff that came with VIL which is very limited in the amount of repeatable stuff there is between the barebones waiting zone and the swarm.
They didn't even try to come up with vacuous patrols that might topple argala as the place to go for ship mastery.

This.
And even the non-Advanced gives 100 marks so really easy to get the marks. And Swarm is popping a lot.
Also can get marks from the Gamma Quadrant battlezones.
I don't do advanced ques. I don't need the min-maxers or DPSer B.S. 'cause I didn't build my ship right. Got enough of that during the escorts online era. After grinding out the chrystal event on 10 toons last month, and the breach event on 10 toons this month, the idea of doing the swarm 9 times a day is fatiguing.

When the shortened Breech came out in March, 2017, I did it on all 14 (at the time) Characters. I regretted it about eight or nine days in, but all my Characters were more than prepared for eventual Sponsorship in the Lukari Restoration Reputation.

I noticed over last weekend...that the CC Event was counting toward my Gamma Recruit's 25 STF reward requirement...and I was able to finish it. But what a pain to keep track. I just started keeping those R&D boxes and tallying them.
I wonder: could they be doing 100 Days of "Quick" Events? For the 100 STF missions your Jem'Hadar is supposed to have done to unlock that one Gamma Recruit Award?
It would be an easier way to figure out how many you have done. Since lack of progress counter on it. You know, if you were actually doing them...unlike me.

I hit the 100 at the beginning of last week. Had no idea where I was. All I did was after I finished a Queue I'd check the Gamma Device and see if the 100 Task was glowing. I would do the CCA Event and 1-2 Borg and 1-2 Tholian Red Alerts a day.
Right now I am closing in on my last Gamma Recruit Task - Get 6 Commendations to Tier 4. I have 5 and the sixth (Science) is closing in at about 90k.
About the 100 Queues Task, I had started a somewhat sarcastically titled Thread about that a couple of weeks ago:

When I saw there was no way of seeing progress towards the 100 runs I just saw another lack of polish and care about the game and added it to a list of things that'll get done at somepoint but likely forget about because the rewards probably not really worth it.
If the theory of "100 days of events" is close to accurate I'd seriously worry for the state of the dev team and the direction the game is going.
i did the summer event and saw this CC event coming and totally checked out! too many events and not enough time to recover. even long term exposure can eventually get to the more fanatical elements of the player base.
just a suggestion for what it is worth? put a few weeks between events to allow some processing and recovery so the playerbase doesn't burn out.
This is me. I've only bothered signing in once since August 15th. The game is not hard to get burnt out on, it's the same from beginning to end. Nothing changes except appearance and location. There's nothing challenging about the game, just point and click mostly.
Space, fly in circle with autofire on, maybe use an ability once in a blue moon.
Ground, meh, generally let your boffs do all the shooting, while you click what needs to be clicked.
The only thing I find entertaining about the game now is Arena of Sompek.
I'm starting to become like the numbers I see on the steam charts. Play for a while at the new season, and log in for Summer and Winter events. Which helps prevent burnt out, for the most part. Feature episodes, well one can collect that gear at any time. Event gear, it will either be recycled at the next event of that type, or make an appearance in the Phoenix Prize Pack. So really, the only thing one needs to do for the game is long in to do some dilithium farming occasionally, and the odd event if you want.

Thanks for this heads up. Didn't realize how good this event payed out until giving it a try last time. Even met @felisean in one run who was helpful as always with some good tips in team chat. Seems even when flying a shuttle he manages to perform admirably
I do buy into the whole Event Fatigue thing a bit; but, in this case, with Rep Tier 6 around the corner, keep in mind we'll be in need of many Marks! Breach Advanced pays out 191-227 Marks per round. That's not nothing.
191-227 Marks per round? Do you have some sort of Mark bonus on? I'm pretty sure I only get 161 or so, and that's with completing the mission in the allotted time and having all 5 players escape.
