PvE queues are broke since the revamp of them

ever since the victory Is life expansion came out the pve queues are broke.

ive been spending more time waiting on a que time to start than I do actually playing them now.
you queue up a pve and you wait for enough people for the que, then some tart that queued it rejects its or misses readying up for it so your back to waiting for the timer comes up again but when it does your not given the option to accept/reject it so you have to wait for the time to count down only be to kicked from the queue because you failed to accept/reject it because you never had an option for it. so now you back to waiting again, and forget about setting up a team of 5 players to play queues since only the leader is ever given the option to accept/reject the queue now.

how do you go from having a fully working queue system to breaking it in one expansion?

seems like every time an update or expansion comes out some thing that has been working for years gets broke, doesn't cryptic have a QA person, and if they do why are they not doing their job and making sure things are working before a release.

what STO needs for consoles is a what they have for the pc a tribble/beta server to make sure updates/expansions are not going to break a working game for months because the track record makes it seem like cryptic never tests any of the stuff they are putting out for consoles before they release it?

    The major culprit is the bug that cause the accept/reject to not appear in the hold A menu. The only workaround I found is to switch instance as soon as you see the accept/reject not showing in the menu. Once you switch to another instance, the accept/reject reappears in the menu. I just station at ESD because it usually has the most instances to switch between. Or if you are KDF, go to the beta quadrant sector space, first city usually only has 1 active instance and you can't switch to another. But this bug needs to be fixed, I shouldn't need to keep switching instances to accept a simple queue.

    This has been reported in multiple threads, and I also submitted a support ticket. I suspect as chris says that at least 1/3 to 1/2 the rejections are due to the bug preventing the ability to accept or reject.
    The other part of the problem is now there is no limit to how many queues a user can enter - which is ridiculous. So you have those players out there that will tag them all then decide "nope I want to wait for one of these others first" when offered a queue.
    Plus team queues are broken completely...
    Plus you have to reset the difficulty of the ques every single time you open the menu now...

    It's just a terrible redesign of a system that wasn't really broken.

    The missing accept/decline bug is still there after the Sept. 11th patch. PLEASE fix this while you still have some players left to play queues. If you don't fix it for the players, fix it for Gene Roddenberry, PLEASE man.

    New one on this end, whenever i que up, and finally "transported" to the actual pve map i get a server disconnect… Happens 8 out of 10 ques that i want to enter... I have a 400/40Mbit line so knowing that i could play the game in the past on a 12/12Mbit line without any problems the internet connection should not be a problem. After switching from pc to Xbox version, the Xbox version became my favorite, but after weeks of PVE issues i consider going back to pc version. It's a shame though, i love the console version. Also been rejected from ques due to the bug that is spoken of in previous posts and seems to be ignored by the devs…

    with the Crystaline event happening right now it is starting to get extremely annoying when it take 30 minutes to get into a pve that takes only 2-3 minutes to complete because 80% of the time you can not ready up for the even because you are not given the option 8 out of 10 times.
    also as multi970 said it seems like the devs ignore console bug reports
  • Hey arc, TRIBBLE YOU AND YOUR BROKEN GAME. I have qued for crystaline 17 times in the past hour, not a single one popped. Im about to start recording all the bugs and post it in a general review of this now TRIBBLE game. Battle cloak is still broken nigh a year later, private and public qs are now broke xbox gets cheated out of several minor events and still lacks in game content pc has had for years now. To top the cake the boff bug for rom and kdf players is still around, good luck trying to buy faction specific boffs if your not a fed. Of course arc can in no way do anything let alone refund your ec, surley it must be the players error even with video proof of the bug. Somehow it just gets casualy ignored. Now this new guy takes over the sto team and his plan ? They will shut up if we just cram content down their throat. Yeah because we all totaly want that and all of us just love discovery. You know trying to run crystal across 20 characters its just not worth it nor is playing this game. Guys go check out tera , i know its kind of bland atm but it has more of a chance than sto.

    This really should be fixed sooner than later... returning player whose also trying to get 2 others back and this que glitch alone is making it hard to stomach... can’t play together means off to a new game... lost logins and lost potential funds, fix this already even if it means reverting to que code back to what it was in 2016-17 when this worked like a charm...
