So there is a ship sale on Xbox one at the moment and I am considering getting the t6 Hestia class starship and would like to the put the MVAM console on it. I have read in a few places that the console may not function properly. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Additionally, any thoughts on the overall quality of the ship would be great too.
It is a pretty good ship even without the console, mostly never had an issue with the console outside of afew times that the two separated-ships would warp off pretty much after using it. I normally like to outfit it with phasers an photons when I use it as the separation-ships i believe use phasers an photons when separated. Wish they would release a kdf and romulan version of the Hestia, like they did for the galaxy/gal-x an their separation mechanic, as I believe the other two do not have a ship that can separate into three ships like it yet.
It’s a really amazing ship if you want to run it as a kinetic torp boat, second only to the veteran destroyer. This is because it can slit max level torp abilities, max level Concentrate Firepower and also a Grav Well to cluster enemies together. All those three make for excellent torp boating and the added bonus is that the ship is manoeuvrable enough to easily keep targets in arc.
Bonus points to it for the massive amount of space barbie that ship has too, always nice to customise your ship properly.

The Hestia is a decent energy based escort or a superb torpedo bomber, but the consoles which come with the T5 and T6 versions are best avoided.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I loved the Hestia/Promethius and got all it's variants, it's my all time favorite Star Trek ship, I can't say that I've ever had a problem with its consoles and their set bonus.

Not really as that is more like the Gal/Gal-x an the saucer separation, and only separates into two ships over three like the hestia, though in ways most likely the saucer sep concept was somewhat where the separation concept for the hestia originated from to a degree. Also that is more of a cruiser too, over a escort so aligning it more with the gal/gal-x. I would say if they made a rom/kdf variant of the hestia they could use the the somraw or Qin raptors for KDF though not sure on the romulan side.
Just like others said, Hestia is an amazing ship - my favourite escort in game.
But yeah, while MVAM works with it, you'd really be better off not slotting it, it just doesn't do anything that much special. If you use both pieces for set bonus, I guess it can be alright, but most likely you would still have other more beneficial options to use.
I love mine - had it since it was released on PC and have used it almost constantly since.
Personally I have alot of fun with the MVAM console - there's something very cool about separating my ship in the middle of a battle and having the other 2 vectors pew pew along with me. Is it the most effective console out there? - arguably no as others have said but I enjoy using it.
I just wish that they would allow us as players to give orders to the separated ship both the mvam an saucer separation versions, as than the console might have more use an overall better appeal to be used on the ships. The ai used for pets both separated or hanger can be quite annoying with how it uses things..
I have mine and I love it. MVAM doesn't work all that well pet wise, but when you just need that ability to dart like a jackrabbit with the awesome firepower it can bring, it's a hoot.
Plus I have mine set up as a beam escort with 3 DBB and the phaser torp launcher with 3 omni arrays in the back and she hits like a hammer.
Went all different types of phaser and just let it rip.
She's now my main ship on my main toon. Coupled with the fact the Prometheus is my favorite star trek ship with Defiant coming a close second.
Only wish is that I could take my quantum torp console and throw it on my Hestia and I'd be in hog heaven.

If they would give us the wingman set up for MVAM, IMHO all problems would be solved.

It would be cool if the MVAM console got a overhaul and the pets behaved like the Jem'hadar wingman. Might be worth slotting if they were to do that. But that's as likely as the loadout system being fixed and not removing equipped items from you're ship
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
I'd say a better console to use is the Hestia plasma vent console itself. At least you can control how you use it properly, because the MVAMs just have a mind of their own.
It's not a big hitter but way more useful than any separation console is. Looks pretty badass though.

I would take that. I always wanted it to be more like the ground boff so the different pets could have different abilities they could usde compared to each other, and i could use them manually when i felt they were best used.
MVAM should function since we reported the separation bug affecting all ships and thankfully the main forum mod passed on the information. The separated sections I believe stay with you much better than separated saucers/chevrons.
Piloting the saucer feels lacking since the pivot point remains as if it were a full-size ship with invisible aft sections, but it's better this way than introducing more coding that could at any time break.
I got it and the T5 since they look really good, but escorts are my least favorite game play and the Prometheus is probably my least played ship.

Not because it was a smart pet, or helpful, or anything like that, simply because seperation made the main ship turn like an escort (under my build anyway), and the only thing negatively effected was the useless and ignored Crew mechanic. When the saucer died I usually just left it until the next map change or respawn restored it, then swore a bit at the cooldown and moved on lol.
I suppose that could also be a use for the mvam console. Tho adding a turn console would probably add the same amount of maneuverability in the Hestias case. It being an escort with an already good turn rate.

Truth be told, while i like the gimmick of the MVAM and have used it extensively on https://sto.gamepedia.com/Mirror_Universe_Patrol_Escort the MVAM mechanic never worked properly from the onset.
