in Graphical and Sound Issues
Anyone having problems with sound cutting out at character selection screen? Using a Sound Blaster Titanium Pro series card with updated drivers. Windows 7 PC.. Sound is also not working after exiting the game. I.E. no sound in windows either.. Any info to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks.

    Does this happen on any other game? If so, try going to an earlier version of the sound drivers. If earlier version works, contact both start trek online devs and Creative Labs support.

    While that's happening, it is possible that "give exclusive mode applications mode priority" and "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" might be check marked. Goto control panel then open "sound". Right click on the sound card giving you trouble, then click on "properties". Click on the advanced tab. Uncheck those tabs then click apply. if that doesn't work, then go into device manager, right click on the sound device to disable, then again right click and enable, which should work.

    Worse case scenario could be the os as windows 7 will eventually not be supported by newer devices & software.
