Delta Recruit Question [PS4]

I'm planning on making three new toons (one for each major faction), as Delta Recruit is rolling out on console this Tuesday. The Fed and the KDF toons I plan to just use to complete the required story-arcs; however, I'm planning on using the Romulan toon as a co-main. In practical terms, how does having him as a Delta Recruit affect overall gameplay? Is the feel/look/etc different enough where it's weird having a Delta Recruit as a main, or does that not matter at all? I guess what I'm asking, is: should I just use the Romulan DR for the DR and create another, or will the overall differences be negligible? Hopefully my question makes sense.

The only difference for Delta Recruits with regards to the storyline are the additions to the tutorial and finding the added Iconian mission objectives in regular episode missions. The whole thing ends at the end of the Breen arc, after which your Delta Recruit becomes just like any other character, although it will still be marked as a Delta Recruit.

There is no effect on overall gameplay at all. The early mission arcs have an extra optional objective to find some iconian thingamabob on the map and there's an extra cutscene in the tutorial and the last episode of the breen arc. Otherwise it's exactly the same, most of the rewards come from standard gameplay.

Is there a Crey equivalent, forever interrupting your game to tell you that he has nothing to tell you?

Actually, that's where Crey originates from: the Delta Recruitment event.

As far as unlocking the temporal transponder and paradox corrector, will I have to do that for each faction for the account wide unlock or just once.

From what I’ve read, it looks like just once, but want to make sure.

Crey doesn't appear to lie through his teeth about the timeline to PC delta recruits so hopefully it won't happen on PS4. That *redacted* cost me a rich dil mining claim and reward thanks to the poorly designed popup that never simply appears when you log in.

As far as I know he only screws with temporal recruits.

Unlocks for deltas that aren't tied into levelling and mission arcs can be done on any recruit. So you can create recruit on each of the three races and ignore two while you work on getting the items and come back to them as and when you feel like it.

Some TOSlings have some kind of popup message at every login, that they complain about regularly but refuse to turn off even though it's right there in the options.

Except it's not an option for the console version.

What I find more irritating about crey's hail is that it can happen at anytime the game feels like it. As I mentioned above he appeared DURING a rich dil mining and caused it to break, what I didn't mention was that on that character I'd already done a run of the MI event so it was a good 15-20 minutes AFTER logging that character on that he appeared.

In comparison I've an alt with the S&C mission active in the log and the instant they arrive in the alpha quadrant they are met with d'tan chattering away. Thats how an autohail should work but crey's setup is just irritating and pointless. Especially with how he says the timeline is fine regardless of where you are within that story arc.

Wouldn't know about that, but I've seen players in the PC version explicitly refuse to use the option and still complain.
