As the new content is all set to start at level 60, is there any chance that the Cardassian Species unlock will be released early (i.e. a form of early access for those who purchased the Gamma pack) for those that have purchased this option to allow them to get ready to experience victory is life when it launches?

Ah that would be nice indeed. In fact it would have nice if it had been made available the moment the Delta Recruit event went live. My Fed Cardassian (alien) was created back in 2010 so I have to grind a brand new one (will be KDF like most of my characters) and it would have been nice to get a head start.

It's called 'pre-ordering' for a reason. I don't see why anyone should get earlier access than anyone else.

You will likely just have to wait until ViL launches, just like everyone else.

Anyway, great news and I'm happy that we'll see another diplomatic gathering.

I really enjoyed the Undine summit and the one where we first met the Federation president - although that latter one was a bit short imo and the size of the room made it seem not that important. So I hope we'll get to see a big room, many NPCs to properly reflect the importance of the event.

Pre-ordering is when you order a product before its available for purchase and then pay when the transaction goes through. In the case of the Gamma Pack, you purchase it at the time, no pre-ordering involved in this. You select it, you pay for it you own it. Rather everyone that has purchased the product gets access and is able to enjoy it allowing them to get in a position where they can enjoy the rest of the items (i.e. 50+) when the expansion goes live in June.

Its just a thought.

The thing though is that the Cardassian species is tied to Victory is Life and in order for them to do what you're asking, they'd have to take the species and copy it over to holodeck, where the assets don't exist right now, like the hairstyles. Why can't you just wait like the rest of us?

Well if all future content released, featured & other, will be for level 60+ it explains having that nice experience boost weekend-to-a-couple-of-weeks extension.

I do hope the conference is a big one, with lots of shouting and such (I loved wandering around the Undine conference and watching all the diplomats scream at each other: "Go back to your Federation masters and beg for a saucer of milk!" .....We need to see more Caitian/Ferasan rivalries, please). It'll be fun to watch the politics of the situation break down to our mutual distrust of the Hur'q, and trying to figure out if the Dominion are our bros yet. (Points to them for helping us with the Iconians, and helping with the 2800 incident, should definitely bring those up)

I do wonder if we've left the Delta quadrant in the dust. Aside from some...questionable standings, things seem to be going alright out there, but we haven't really seen any of the fruits of our alliances with all of them. Did the Hur'q just decide not to set up their bug nurseries out there?

So what happens after the Jem H'Dar is completed, does this mean we are able to go back and play as the Jem H'Dar in the story missions in Fed and KDF or is after we have played the mission and that's it?

You ask a question about my inability to wait, yet at no point have I said I couldn't wait nor that I wasn't waiting. So I have to ask why are you implying that I'm not waiting or unable to wait like the rest of you?

What I suggested was, that it would be nice, as Cardassians are not tied to the level 60 experience and will be starting at level 1, that if they could be released early they were. Like any other C-Store purchased species released to an already established faction. They don't seem to have any specific Victory is Life story arc, so it hardly seems game breaking, nor would updating the models when ready seem like the worst thing in the world, just as done where they have placed Garak in the alternate time line.

I would also stress, that I would be more than happy for everyone that has access to them to have access. It seems from your post that you are suggesting that I want them now and everyone else would have to wait. I would be happy to see fleets commanded by Cardassian Captains over the next few weeks as we move towards Victory is Life, getting ready for the new content when it arrives.
