Item rarity upgrade animation broken

Dear all, dear Developers,

am I wrong or there was an animation when, during the upgrade of an item, the rarity of such item was improved?
Yesterday I upgraded many items and such animation (if it existed) disappeared.
Anybody can confirm?

    There is no animation, only a sound effect.
